    Advantages Advantages good racing game, ace to play with mates, cheap enough to buy to practise

    I remember my dad coming home one day with a big stack of new games and me, my dad and my siblings sat there all night playing on the awesome game that is Crash team racing (CTR) A few months ago me and some friends (the same ones who I completed Crash 1-3 with) relived our childhood memories when we bought this from the Play station network on the PS3.     Crash Bandicoot Two decades of the ginger Crash Bandicoot and people are still not bored with the series and people often refer to this game as being legendary and a fair few of my friends are fond of this because of childhood memories when they played this game on the Playstation one console.     This is Crash Bandicoot's first racing game. In many ways it is just like MarioKart, but it has characters from Sony's Crash Bandicoot games. Storyline: Earth is challenged by an alien, Nitrous Oxide, who claims to be the fastest racer in the galaxy. He challenges earth's best driver. If Earth's best driver wins, he will leave earth alone. If not, he is going to enslave all the earthlings. The player character must collect four boss keys to get a chance to race Oxide for the first time.     Well when super Mario cart came out on the N64, it was, and i'm sorry to say, the best arcade racing game on any console at the time. It boasted addictivibility (if that is a word), amazing graphics and a long shelf life. Every console owner knows the rivalry between the playstation and the N64.     INTRO What do you do when you run out of ideas for new platform games? Just make a racing game and put in a few of the characters. Quite a few kids games are putting their characters in racing etc games. Disney has done it, and the simpsons recently made a racing game. CTR however, is still quite good and has enough features to keep you entertained for a while; Young children even longer.     Crash team racing is a great game with great modes. ADVENTURE MODE OK, this is the main "single player" mode for the game. You choose a character and race around tracks. To unlock more tracks, you must win current races in 1st place. There are Boss races where you must beat an opponent who has lots of weapons. There are also CTR races where you must pick-up the letters C T and R and still win the race. This is a great mode with no real weaknesses.     Naughty Dog produced the very fun and playable series of Crash Bandicoot. Now he is back with a vengeance this time with an accelerator and a whole lot of boost. I was drowsy eyed at night with playing Crash Bandicoot 2 definately an all time classic. Being a teenager shoot 'em and beat 'em ups were taking my fancy. I wasn't at all looking for a racing game never mind a CB game.     Crash Team Racing is yet another Mario Kart clone, but this game isn't poor, it's actually very very enjoyable! With a choice of 8 characters (exluding hidden characters ;-) ) you can race on a total of 21 tracks. Game modes include the cup race, where you can race against computer oponents (1 or 2 player) to win the cup. There are 4 different cups, each containing 4 tracks. Win the cups, win more characters to race with! Adventure mode has to be the best game. The player must drive around different landscapes in search of Vortex Pods.     Crash Team Racing was released last year, to compliment the other three members of the series of four - Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot Warped. It's a loveley idea, and it's been fantastically put to life, with some fun, entertaining ideas, which make even selecting your next mission fun. When you first switch on, there is no video, which is always nice to give you a taster of your new game.
