HOW MUCH DO YOU CRAVE YOUR MILK

Advantagesstays fresher longer

Disadvantagescan be a bit expensive

"...remember seeing the advert for Cravendale which states that it is so good that the cows want it back, I would see it in Tesco but always thought it was a bit more expensive than my usual milk, a 2 litre bottle will cost you around £1.25 but one day I decided to buy one and see what the difference was. Why was it so expensive I wondered, well the reason is that whilst other milks use the pasteurisation method to kill the bacteria, Cravendale filter ..." Read review

No accidental cheese

Advantageskeeps

Disadvantagesno home made cheese!

"...in about half an hour. Cravendale seems a tad more resistant to this, but I would still recommend you kept it in the fridge (but for weekend camping, it'll probably survive being stored in a bucket of water, which again is handy) You can tell when milk starts to turn - it sours, and if you don't throw it away then, the following will happen - the curds and whey seperate out, so there's thin water stuff on the top and thick gungy stuff beneath. ..." Don't Let The Cows Have It Back!

AdvantagesStays Frsh For A Very Long Time

DisadvantagesMore Expensive Than Other Milk

"...of my latest discoveries - Cravendale milk. What make Cravendale Milk Different? Milk is milk you may think, but you'd be wrong. You've probably seen the gimmicky advert that Cravendale milk is so good "the cows want it back" Cravendale milk lasts for a lot longer than ordinary fresh milk, this is because other milk use the process of pasteurisation to remove the bacteria, which basically involves heating it up to a point where most of the ..." A Pun On Cravin' Would Be Beneath Me Diamond review

AdvantagesIts advertising claims are true: it lasts longer and tastes creamier.

DisadvantagesIt's more expensive, the packaging is not easily recycled and do you really need your milk to last for three weeks?

"...This one was no different. Cravendale milk, apparently, is so super, "the cows want it back". Hmm… I ignored the TV advertisements. I ignored the coupon which offered me a free 2 litre "jug" of Cravendale milk. I ignored the tie-up with TV chef Paul Rankin. In the absence of a local milkman, I continued to source my milk from the village shop, who source it from a Devon milk processor (I live in Devon), who source it from only West Country farms. ..." Milk it Baby for all your Worth

AdvantagesNice and Creamy

DisadvantagesBit dearer

"...litre but today they had Cravendale Milk in. I looked at the bottle and though, "Brilliant, " I have had this at my friends and loved the taste of it so for once I would purchase it. The Variety that I bought was the Fresh Whole Milk, yes I did say Whole. This bottle cost me just under 1.20 at the Tesco Express and it is in a 2 litre white plastic bottle with a blue screw cap lid and has had PURFILTRE on the side, very french, well actually, it ..." Moo!

AdvantagesCreamy, lasts longer and is a delicious drink.

DisadvantagesCosts more.

"...spans the whole country. Cravendale is owned by the country's biggest milk supplier Arla Foods. It has grown in popularity and is now a recognised house hold name. I love Cravendale milk it has a very creamy taste to it and is delicious to drink on it's own or in a milk shake. Since being pregnant I have been drinking so much milk. Sometimes you get fed up of fresh milk that tastes the same and want something different I have found that Cravendale ..." Read review

Craving for Cravendale

AdvantagesCheckout the Cravendale Checklist

DisadvantagesSlightly more expensive but quality!

"And I am NOT pregnant! Ever since these guys decided to run a marvellous Christmas trolley dash competition and elaborated the fact on their little labels in bright eye-catching colours, I have been buying this stuff to the exclusion of all else. Ever since they popped a "free litre of milk" coupon through my letterbox in a promotion to introduce this delicious fresh milk to our part of the country where it had been hitherto unheard of, I have been ..." the cows cant have it back, i`m cravin it.

Advantagescreamy, long lasting and deeeeelicious.

Disadvantagesnone for me!

"...adverts I decided to give cravendale a try. I was instantly surprised that there could be so much difference between this and the ordinary milk I was used to. Cravendale according to the info on the carton undergoes a unique filtration process prior to pasteurisation. This removes the bacteria that causes milk to sour but lets the goodness in the milk remain. I can assure you this doesn’t only allow the milk to last longer but greatly improves its ..." Read review

Smoother, Tastier, Longer

Advantageslasts ages, tastes great

Disadvantagesmore expensive than normal milk

"I first heard about Cravendale Milk from a friend who recommended it as a long-lasting alternative to normal milk. British made, Cravendale Milk is not just pasturised, it is also filtered to get rid of any bacteria whilst still leaving the goodness intact. Additive free, still good for you, but long lasting milk? Ideal! It is slightly lower in calories and fat than regular milk also. My husband drinks much, much more milk than I do - I'm ..." delicious and healthy too !

Advantagesdelicious, long date on it .

Disadvantagesnone

"...surprised . I had been buying cravendale milk for the kids as my sister told me how her kids loved it and they would drink this milk where as other milk they wouldn,t . ~ Cravendale ~ The bottle is plastic with cravendale on the front and can be found in the fridges in supermarkets by all the other milk. ~ So why is cravendale so different to other brands ? ~ Well it undergoes a unique filteration process prior to pasterisation, this ..." Don't tell the mother-in-law! Review with images

AdvantagesNice taste. Good for you!

DisadvantagesA bit expensive

"...the labelling there is the Cravendale brand name with a little daisy about it. On each side of the bottle you will find a bit of information about the milk. You will also find the contact details, although there is no address - just the phone number and website address. The bottle itself is quite big and bulky. But, like I said, the handle is big enough to wrap your hand round, so can be easily held. Embossed on the bottle you will see the lettering ..." Read review

Cravendale PurFiltre

AdvantagesLong lasting, tastes great, good packaging

DisadvantagesA little more expensive

"...now been drinking and using Cravendale milk on my cereal and when mashing my potato and making Yorkshire puddings. My Dad first came accross it a couple of years ago in ASDA. There was none of the the ASDA own brand milk left, apart from the organic milk which is awful. He had to buy a four pint measure of Cravendale. If it hadn't been for the poor stock control of ASDA, we may not have come accross or bought Cravendale, or at least not until a later ..." Read review

so good the cows want it back

Advantages sweet taste

Disadvantages none i can think of

"Craven Dale Semi skilled milk. I always used UHT milk. It lasts ages, it comes in cartons not bottles and its cheap. However my local garage don't sell it so when I ran out of milk in the middle of the night and knew I needed some to avoid looks of discust when I had to tell my children they would be having toast for breakfast, had to have it. I was looking for a four pint of semi skimmed milk, anything would have done, but all they had was ..." Read review

The Cows Want It Back... Tuff

AdvantagesTastes creamier, filtered

DisadvantagesTad more expensive

"...jug that finally persuaded me. Cravendale PurFiltre here I come. So setting of to the shop straight away when I got there, there was only two jugs left in the chiller. A lovely pair I might add and I find a nice set of jugs always help. Sleeker than you usual containers and these are made of white plastic. Wooooo! Unusual, so I set off to the till with my coupon where I was greeted by the cashier roaring, “ bet you’ve got a coupon for ..." Read review

Milk the Cows

Advantages tastes better

Disadvantagesa little bit more money

"...have found recently that this Cravendale milk is much nicer to use than the normal local farm milk. It costs only a fraction of the price more and for a 2-litre bottle you will be paying around the £1.25pence mark. This is about only 10pence more than getting the other cheaper milk. The taste seems to much more nicer and less gacky than the other milk that I used to use. This particular Cravendale milk comes in the same ranges you would expect ..." Read review
