...know the basic idea of crazy taxi is to pick up and drop people off. It may sound a bit boring at first but once you have played it you will agree it is great. As there are no rules you can drive on the wrong side of the road, do big skids and get big air. The freedom of the game is amazing. You do what you want when you want.

Advantages: Great Graphics and sound, Original concept Disadvantages: Small Lifespan, will get boring quickly
I first played Crazy Taxi on my brothers Dream Cast, and after hearing mixed reviews, I was pleasanltly surprised when I first started playing. The presentation of the game was top notch with crisp graphics, cool voice overs from a manic american and a funky sound track with songs from The Offspring and alike. The game has many different play modes. The idea of the game is drive your taxi round two cities picking up customers and delivering them ... ...Store, Tower Records or Kentucky Fried Chicken! The quicker you do it the more points you get. The different play modes include the arcade mode which is you have a time limit and every tme a customer is delivered the time limit is extended. The game mode is where you have a certain time limit which you can choose to make as much CRAAZZZYYYYY money as possible. Depending on how much money you make, you are given a grade to show how well you have done.

I first played crazy taxi at a freinds house. We were just sittin there wondering what to do with ourselves, and he all of a sudden, just came up with the idea of playing this game.
"OK", said I. So we did. We then played some more, and some more and some more. "Why didn't you mention you had this earlier you foolish boy??" I said.
Anyway, the games addictiveness had really got hold of the both of us. The idea of the game is very simple, but because ... ...This is where the CRAZY taxi comes from. If you just trundled along the roads, you'd get nowhere. Cross country maniac driving is whats needed. No matter whats there, you have to get by, under, through it, just so that you can keep the customers happy.
You must pick customers up by stopping within a certain distance from them. There are obviously hundreds of people in the 2 cities within the game. Your customers however will be highlighted, so there ...

Advantages: Wicked graphics, decent soundtrack featuring The Offspring and Bad Religion. Disadvantages: Not highly realistic.
WARNING!! THIS IS A HIGHLY INFECTIOUS AND ADDICTIVE GAME!! A friend of mine introduced me to this game about a year ago. I have to say it is the best driving game I have ever played. The idea of the game is to pick up customers (circled with red, orange, yellow or green on the screen - the green pay the most money, the red pay the least) and take them to their destination as quickly as possible, by any means. Don't worry - it is impossible to run ... ...the motorway, it is advisable to drive on the wrong side, against the traffic(!?). If you are careful you should be able to drive straight between the to lanes. The idea of this is to make more money. You should drive past other vehicles as close as possible without touching them - this means the customer will pay more. There are also various jumps to earn money. On the arcade mode, extra money and time is given when you reach the customers destination ...

Advantages: Fast paced furiously intense fun Disadvantages: Longevity is questionable, pricey
Crazy Taxi is a really original game. It was spawned in the arcades a few years back, and I only ever played it once. But such was the originality and fun of that one go that it stuck in my head as a game I wanted to play again. So when the inevitable (it was a SEGA arcade game) Dreamcast release came about I was very excited. I got it not long after I got my Dreamcast and I was amazed.
If you’re not sure, Crazy Taxi is a driving game where ... ...important thing about any game, Crazy Taxi’s Gameplay is sumptuous. The smoothness of the car handling and the way it takes the roads is excellent. It clearly hasn’t had the thought put into handling and car design of a game like Metropolis Street Racer for example, but this isn’t a driving sim, it’s an out and out arcade game. The emphasis is on fun, fast furious fun. The game is split between 2 cities, both fictional but ...

...thing that strikes you about crazy taxi is that there is so much going on around you. AI controled cars and trucks go about like they normally would, stopping at junctions and turns. Summer 2000: Crazy Taxi is unleashed on DC, one of the first games on the console that truly screamed out " Buy me, you iditot, Buy me". It left many a non-DC owner greener with jealousy than a toad's butt. Sure, DC games had been hot before, but nothing compared to this, explosion of color, mullet rock and raw, adrenaline-pumping gameplay that was Crazy Taxi. Thus, Crazy Taxi features an impressive rosta of brazen, attention-grabbing cabbies, loaded with enough sickeningly exaggerated personality between them to fill the Big brother house. Or Jamie ...

...there's loads more - the crazy box mode in particular keeps you going back long beyond the point you really should have got bored with things. Crazy Taxi is a very enjoyable game which doesn't require any brain power and is very easy to play.
