Advantages: Look/design, easy to set up & use, good audio quality, range of features, price! Disadvantages: A little taller than I would have liked but im picky!, maybe not best for travelling
...section and there they were, Creative Inspire 280 computer speakers on sale, great! So I thought I'd have to check it out later that day and indeed I did. I thought not to get my hopes up, probably it'd turn out that they'd be powered by batteries alone (which I wouldn't like), or that they'd be very big and would get in the way of my TV, or there would be reviews online which would criticise them for offering tinny sound or something like that. ... ...Them? -
These are Creative speakers. Creative is a well known company that produces IT/digital entertainment products, including a range of MP3 Players, webcams and video cams, headphones and of course speakers. Creative are also known as the company that produced the 'Sound Blaster' sound card of the 1990s which I remember somewhat fondly too, so I like to think that Creative are specialists in audio electronics and as such, its right to presume ...

Advantages: Good price, good sound quality, easy to use. Disadvantages: Ovbiously not as good as 5.1 surroung.
...I went for the Creative Inspire 280 PC multimedia speakers becuase they compared well (price wise) with other similar items and a number of people had recommended creative speakers to me as being good value for money.
The speakers were packages pretty simply, and are extremely easy to use/set up, as they are plug and play. The wires are all good lengths, so you can use them even if the plug point is quite far away from your computer, and they are ... ...The volume control (situated on the side of one of the speakers) isn't too sensitive, so it's easy to adjust, and the same is true of the tone control. The sound quality is very good, with little/no hiss or crackle, and the volume turns up much higher than I expected, so the speakers are also great for parties etc. They work well with personal CD players and mp3 players too.
