The Creative MuVo2 4GB is a reliable little player. Fantastic sound quality, carries 4GB, physically very small and at a price you can afford.
When looking for a MP3 player I had a reasonable budget so I could afford to get a player with a good capacity, but could not afford the more expensive iPod.
For this reson I chose the MuVo2 - decent capacity at a very good price.
This player is very comapact too. About 70mm x 70mm x 15mm. It weighs very ... ...your own. The Creative MediaSource (PC software on CD comes as part of the package) allows you to manage your music on the PC and then transfer it too your player via USB. The software is user friendly and gets you up and running quickly. File transfer rates are very quick, many albums can be transferred in a matter of seconds.

Creative are now one of the leading MP3 Player brands in the world. I've known a lot of people with Creative MP3 players, and all have been very good with no problems whatsoever.
It was probably 3/4 years ago now I wanted one of these for Christmas when I was about 14/15 years old. At the time, 4gb was pretty big for a MP3 player as they were quite new to the market (most other popular MP3 players at the time were 128, 256, 512 and 1024mb). ...First I eyed a Creative Muvo 256MB, then a Mustek PVR-A1 , but then again, 256MB wasn't enough and after advice from another Ciao member I didn't really want the (32MB) PVR-A1.
Suddenly, I spotted this baby, the newer version of Creative Muvo, and a 4gig mini-hard disc capacity, I wasn't complaining. I decided it after a lengthy series of Ciao, Kelkoo and Pricerunner searches, Amazon was the cheapest 'large' company, offering it at £138.99.

It seems to only support M3U playlists and also supports downloaded 'Audiofeast' shows. The 4gid capcacity allows plently of music.

...i decided to purchase the Creative NOMAD MUVO2. It cost £146 and comes with a 4GB mini hard drive that can store approx 1000 MP3s. Although i made my purchase through ebay you can pick the muvo2 up for anything between £175 - 230 in retail outlets and from the web.
First impressions count for a lot as far as i am concerned and i wasn't dissapointed. ...as the original iPod and Creative Jukebox seemed a far more likely proposition, but I felt that these were to big for audio on the move. The player I wanted had to be small enough so I could take it to the gym, while also able to hold enough music. I whittled my choices down to an iPod Mini and a Creative Muvo 2.
I decided to purchase the Muvo 2 over the iPod on these main points:
1. Availability – I simply could found that the iPod minis were ... ...drives in the middle, as Creative have finally caught onto the fact people were buying these players for micro drives inside them and ripping them out. ...priced at around £35 from Creative but you can probably find it for aroung £20 on eBay.
To sum up, the MuVo2 & mini IPOD are pretty much identical except for design. The MuVo2 edges out in front though due to its ability to play more than just MP3s. At the end of the day (dang! what a cliche) these are pretty much the only 2 MP3 players avaliable with a 4GB capacity (which is about right for what you need) so it would totally depend on personal ...

Yes this Muvo2 has the capacity and it is small, smaller than it's rival the IPOD Mini in fact and lighter too. It can play WMA files as well as MP3 files and has a very nice neon electric blue backlight for it's screen.
The Muvo2 comes with 2 USB2 cables (1 long 1 short) ... ...player. Since it is USB2 the speed of transfer is very very fast. Before you would make your tea, have a biscuit, then return to find it still transferring but not anymore. It also comes with a carry case to protect the player and the case I must say is very secure and padded without adding too much to the size.
Well that's the good stuff out of the way, let's start with the bad stuff.

The MuVo2 4 GB has the same memory as the apple ipod mini, but yet if ordered on Amazon for £174.99, its £75 cheaper. Don't quite match does it!
The instruction manual is easy to follow, and make the setup fabously easy to use. The battery that also came with it has a fantastic lifespan without charge, I'm not sure fully but I'd say around 14 hours of non-stop music.
I was after a small, but very sturdy player, but enough memory for two or three ... ...into both sections. The setup is brilliantly easy, with fantastic software that is provided. To put songs on through a very fast USB cable, which transfers roughly about a gigabyte ever ten seconds, you just drag and drop them on and you're away!
And if any body wants to know just how light it is, it's about as light as my Nokia 3200 at 91 grams.
The quality of sound is also superb, and personally I wasn't expecting it, even if other people had ...

This is such a great MP3 player.
Having took a year out from university to work a placement year in 2003 / 2004, i really wanted to save up some money and spend it on something i really really wanted.
In work, everyone was getting IPOD's, but they were nearly £300, just way to expensive for my budget. I then came across this stylish little thing after a recomendation from a friend on the bigger option Zen Jukebox. Noticing that i got staff discount, ... ...best to go for.
Having paid £160.00 and getting delivery within 2 days, it was the best purchase i ever made.

...and decided upon a 4GB Creative MuVo2. I bought it just under a year ago, second hand for £140 on ebay.
The unit is very compact and light, and comes with a nice carry case with belt clip. The 4GB is not enough storage for an entire music collection, but it is more than enough space to keep you entertained for a good amount of time. The sound quality is perfectly acceptable for an MP3 player with in-ear headphones (especially seeing as a lot of ... ...of the MP3 itself)
One of the main advantages with the unit is that it is effectively a removable hard disk that has the ability to play music files. It will be recognised by any PC running Windows XP without the need for drivers, and music can be uploaded simply by dragging and dropping in explorer. It can also be easily used to store any other kind of files, and has the ability to play windows media files as well as MP3's.

I bought the Creative MuVo last October. It was my first MP3 player so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I chose it for the amount of music I could upload to it as at the time it was the biggest MP3 I could get for my money.
On the hole I liked it, although I found the software alittle cumbersome and the main function button (on the player) to be quite fiddly.
For the price I paid (£140) I kind of expected it to do a bit more than simply play ... ...could put on it that I was paying for.
In January it broke and just refused point blank to connect to my pc (so I was unable to change the music I had on it), fortunately the company I purchased it from happily replaced it foc.
Now my replacement has also broken (company refunding me my money so I can buy something else), so I'm now on the lookout for a new MP3 player.
In short, a good little device with it's niggles (like so much in life) but ...

I bought this creative muvo2 mp3 player 4gb about 6 months ago for 159 pounds .Hopefully now the price has gone down.I must say that im very please with its' performance.Its very light, even much lighter than an ipod,I know this for a fact because i weighed it against my friend's ipod and we both came to that conclusion.You can transfer music in the form of mp3 and wma files from your computer to this device whereas on the ipod you cant transfer ... ...be saved on the creative mp3 player.It has good music quality,bass, long battery hours(battery is rechargerble) and very easy to navigate through.
The only downside is that it is only 4gb and cannot be upgraded.However ,i would consider up to a 1000 songs to be quite alot and many people will be satisfied with that.overall this device is great and i would advice anyone to buy it.It is worth every single pound.trust me ...

Well i was at first amazed by this mp3 player as for the size of this thing, 4GB wasn't a bad memory capacity. As with all new electrical gadgets, the worst part of it is waiting for it to be fully charged. But come on, be honest, does anyone ever have any item similar to this fully charged when brand new. Talking about charging, don't ever listen to it whilst it is plugged into charged as this will make your battery reliant on the electric. Back ... ...loses its magic quite quick as there is not alot to look at. There is no search engine so if you have a lot of songs on, organise it with the software you get with it. A feature which brought the magic back again was the random play. The magic of not knowing what the song will be has its magic...for a bit but then the magic goes again.
My tips is, if you can afford an iPod at 4gb, get one, there are a bit dearer. But, i suppose as long as it does ...
