Advantages Advantages Small, light, attractive, very simple to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit fiddly, no menus, can scratch

After years of faith in my CD Walkman, I finally relented and succumbed to the temptation of the MP3 player. The Creative Muvo Micro N200 512MB seemed like the perfect option for me (although it does have one of the most confusing names around), so now I'll tell you all about it! ~~~~~~~ CREATIVE INDUSTRIES ~~~~~~~ To start, a little introduction. Creative Industries is a digital entertainment company from Singapore, which was founded in 1981. They make PC sound and graphics cards, as well as various other audiovisual technology products, and they've now moved into the digital audio players ... more

Advantages Advantages Jog proof (no moving parts), plays WMA's, can fit 5-10 albums worth of songs, tiny, near weightless, attractive, range of colours, FM tuner, voice recorder, line-in recording, 15hr battery life max. (AAA), fast transfer, use as storage device, ace sound.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not GB's of storage like hard disk players, very slight buzz when LCD display is lit, slightly fiddly menu system.

It's official; the hottest Xmas product of '04 is going to be the iPod and the iPod Mini. Yawn. You're intelligent, right? You know that Apple weren't the first to make a portable digital audio player (hell, the still going Rio name injected us with 'em in the late 90's), and you know too that despite the aggressive marketing and hype that they're not the definitive word on such devices? ...I hope so. Atleast all the hubbub has finally dispelled the myth that these are just toys. These 'toys' have usurped the awkwardised MiniDisc technology. I originally ordered the 512MB version of the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Small, includes radio

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Fiddly menu system

*** Introduction *** I found that listening to MP3/WMA files on my PDA/navigator was rather cumbersome. I wanted a tiny player to use whilst I traveled on holiday ferries overnight or in hotel rooms without disturbing my partner. My main use was to be for audio books and plays, so memory size was not a critical issue. I have no idea what 200 songs store in 512MB means, but I did find out that it is equivalent to 16 hours of MP3 or 32 hours of WMA music - more than enough for my needs during holidays. A built in radio would also be useful. Disposable batteries would also do away with the need ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, looks great, skip proof.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sound doesnt go very loud, easily breaks.

The mp3 player market is buzzing at the moment, also very competetive, its one of the most popular gadgets of the twenty first century and things are due to get even more better with live tv capabilites, the abilty to watch films, and soon even auto-matic song downloading as some mp3 players will have built in internet, the mp3 player reveloution has certainly started, so throw out the cd's, the tapes, even the LP'S if your still in that age of technology and switch to the mp3 player! I previously owned a Creative Labs MuVo 64MB, which was brilliant, the music was as loud as i liked it, it ... more

Advantages Advantages Small size, light weight, ease of controls, fast PC connection

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slight backlight noise

I bought this MP3 player because I wanted something to put my favourite songs onto, not every single song I owned. The 512MB worth of flash memory is perfect for this since i can use it whilst jogging and I also found I could put at least 200 songs on it, using a variety of MP3 and wma bitrates. The package that the player comes in provides a lot of useful things: A firm case and arm band - useful for carrying it around whilst I'm jogging and also the case for protection A USB 2.0 cable - although I only have ordinary USB ports the transfer speeds are still viable so if you leave it, it will ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, Light, Good sound quality, looks cool

Disadvantages Disadvantages Jog wheel can be difficult to use, only 512MB

Sound quality I've found the sound quality to be pretty good, though I think it would be improved with better earphones - those supplied are the in the ear type which I don't think you get the best quality sound reproduction from. When I've connected the player to my home stereo, with 128Kbps or better mp3s I'd say the sound quality is comparable to CD. Ease of use Plug in to usb port, and Win XP recognises the device as a mass storage device. Simply drag and drop the mp3s on to the device. I haven't even installed the supplied software. Volume control is simple enough, but I sometimes find ... more

This is a great player if you are looking to store a few albums or a set of songs to last for a long journey. Ok so its not an I-pod but who cares if you are after a player that does the job. This is it. Features MP3 Player - Durrrr.... obvious. Should say that it can go down to folder level and scrolling through is quite easy via the wheel on the side. Radio - Set you own presets to make more of a player. Can have up to 20... Radio 1 and Five live are enough for me though... Voice recorder - This is a great feature for shopping lists and mental notes. Very light player and gets a good 15 ... more
