I like to MuVo MuVo!

Advantages: Small, light, attractive, very simple to use
Disadvantages: A bit fiddly, no menus, can scratch

...the MP3 player. The Creative Muvo Micro N200 512MB seemed like the perfect option for me (although it does have one of the most confusing names around), so now I'll tell you all about it! ~~~~~~~ CREATIVE INDUSTRIES ~~~~~~~ To start, a little introduction. Creative Industries is a digital entertainment company from Singapore, which was founded in 1981. They make PC sound and graphics cards, as well as various other audiovisual technology products, ...
...being just plastic with the Creative logo on it. I think the Creative earphones look pretty cool as well, they're a little bit like the iPod ones; quite minimalist. ~~~~~~~ EASY TO USE? ~~~~~~~ Appearance is all well and good, but can you actually listen to your music easily? Luckily, the answer is a resounding yes. I'm completely terrible with computers, but I found it easy to get my songs onto it. Rather than plugging the actual MP3 player into ...

Not getting an iPod? Good..

Advantages: Jog proof (no moving parts), plays WMA's, can fit 5-10 albums worth of songs, tiny, near weightless, attractive, range of colours, FM tuner, voice recorder, line-in recording, 15hr battery life max. (AAA), fast transfer, use as storage device, ace sound.
Disadvantages: Not GB's of storage like hard disk players, very slight buzz when LCD display is lit, slightly fiddly menu system.

...the 512MB version of the Creative MuVo Micro N200 but was sent the 256MB due to longtime problems in securing stocks of the former (the situation with many sites as I write); they could've ended the order but they thought they'd try and win me over with a slightly lesser (but same coloured) model; and they did through temptation to just open the box and not bother with sending it back! A bit cheeky of them though but I saved £25 from withdrawing ...
...a little short of a Creative Zen or an iPod which offers, atleast in storage, several GB more. The 512MB version is the most luxury (but still just a £100 away from a Zen/iPod), but 256MB (roughly £70) is perhaps the amount where you're pretty satisfied! I can fit about 60 128kbps (standard setting) MP3's on it, which is indeed five albums. Why would I need more when it's so easy to change what I can put on it? Besides scrolling through 100 songs ...

On the MuVo

Advantages: Small, includes radio
Disadvantages: Fiddly menu system

...- Earphones The white creative earphones supplied are the hard type used in the outer ear. They are well balanced and reproduce a solid and well controlled bass. These are very popular earphones. However, I find this type uncomfortable over long periods of listening. I already possessed some Sennheiser in-ear earphones with mould-able earplugs which I find very comfortable. Although the bass on these is less forceful, I find them much more suited ...
...The graphic equaliser helped with the sound quality. - Radio The auto tuning found all of the local stations I wanted to listen to. Those it did not find could be tuned in manually. Quality was perfectly acceptable and the radio switched from stereo to mono on weak signals before any hiss became disturbing. - Music/speech I was personally quite happy with some pop "music" I put on the player, and more than happy with classical where the orchestral ...

MUVO N200- CREATIVE GET CREATIVE!

Advantages: Small, looks great, skip proof.
Disadvantages: Sound doesnt go very loud, easily breaks.

...I previously owned a Creative Labs MuVo 64MB, which was brilliant, the music was as loud as i liked it, it never broke down on me once and the sound quality was excellent, so why did i upgrade to the muvo n200? Well Christmas was coming up and i was fed up with my current mp3 players small 64 mb capactity and no screen to tell me what song i have on, so the muvo n200 looked like the answer to all my problems, it comes in 128 mb, 256 mb, 512 mb (mine) ...
...so i returned it to Creative and within 2 weeks i had a brand new mp3 player! How happy i was untill i noticed the sound quality was worse on this model and it didnt go as loud. One last thing, the screen can be turned around for left hand users, not something ive tried as i dont need it, but i suppose its a good feature GOOD POINTS: Small, looks good, nice little screen (when it works) Decent headphones-shame they snap easily good little carry ...

Creative N200 is a winner

Advantages: Small size, light weight, ease of controls, fast PC connection
Disadvantages: Slight backlight noise

...me 10-15 hours per battery! Creative Software - This is very useful for organising your music and transfering it to the player but you can still use Media Player or just drag and drop from Windows Explorer. The radio of moderate to good quality, however you are not assured to pick up every local station you ca with a standalone radio. I've found the microphone to be very useful as it will record it straight into MP3 format, no fuss with a moderate ...
...on very low level volumes you can hear the buzzing of the backlight when you change songs, however the backlight can be turned off or the noise can be ignored as it will only be heard (if at all) when you're changing songs. Overall I have been very happy with my purchase, good value for money for such a good MP3 player ...

Had mine for 9 months - glad I bought it

Advantages: Small, Light, Good sound quality, looks cool
Disadvantages: Jog wheel can be difficult to use, only 512MB

Sound quality I've found the sound quality to be pretty good, though I think it would be improved with better earphones - those supplied are the in the ear type which I don't think you get the best quality sound reproduction from. When I've connected the player to my home stereo, with 128Kbps or better mp3s I'd say the sound quality is comparable to CD. Ease of use Plug in to usb port, and Win XP recognises the device as a mass storage device. ...
...device. I haven't even installed the supplied software. Volume control is simple enough, but I sometimes find the jog control a little finnicky to use - it's pretty small. Screen is clear and backlit, and shows the filename, so as long as your MP3s have clear file names, you'll be able to see what you're listening to. Look & Design Looks pretty cool in my opinion, and it's small enough to stick in a shirt or jeans pocket. Only issue I've found ...
