The Creative MuVo is a flash memory based mp3 player, which basically means no moving parts (unlike iPods and other similar products) which means there really isn't that much to break on it! You are offered three different memory sizes; 128, 256, and 512mb (megabytes).
MEMORY:
Obviously, the larger the memory capacity, the more tracks it can hold, although, this also depends on what format you choose to have your tracks as. MP3 (Mpeg Layer 3) boasts ... ...that later on....

...So I opted for a Creative player because it's a well known, leading brand which a lot of people recommended. What also helped was an offer on Dixons website to buy the 256mb MuVo version for £39.99 (including postage).
I did debate whether 256mb was going to be big enough. There are some much bigger players around but Creative reckon you can easily get 80 tracks on 256mb and I realised when I'd dropped off tracks I didn't want that would be 6 or ... ...go).
I ordered my Creative MuVo TX 256mb MP3 player from Dixons and when it arrived I very excitedly ripped open the packaging to get started with it. I say ripped, in fact it took my about 10 mins just to get into the box, but nevermind. I was pleased to see it came with a battery (it takes 1 x AAA battery) and I quickly slipped that in, plus headphones (with fuzzy earpieces). The player itself is light, about the size of a large cigarette lighter ...

...wow this is really tiny. Creative are world renound for their audio products, I have a number of pc speakers and sound cards from creative before and i have been very pleased, they are quality items and very realible, basically they have never let me down.
So when it came to deciding to choose which mp3 player to choose, my first instinct was to go with creative, unfortunatley due to monetary problems ( a poor student) I saw a similar looking mp3 ... ...heard of, but at a very cheap price. So i decided to go for that one , thinking hmm they are prolly all the same and itl make no difference. But as you have guessed within a few days the thing had fallen apart, and I really wasnt impressed with the sound quality I was getting through the mp3 player.

This little creative 256mb mp3 player surprised me the first time i listened to it. It punches out a brilliant stereo sound for such a small gadget!
And it only weighs 32grams!
It is actually not just an mp3 player :
It also has a built in FM radio tuner
Recording facilities (quite handy in lectures etc if you're finding he/she is speaking to fast to take note) - you can also record the live radio with it!
You can use it to store ANY data from ... ...and hold your favourite songs then this is great. If you are more of an ipod fan who wants to store most of their music collection then this is definitely not for you.
All in all a great little product which also plays nicely through my creative surround speakers. ...

First things first, i think i should say that i like this, and for £60 brand new, its a bargin. the only thing that i have a bad feeling about is when i saw i pods on auction sites for just over a hundered pounds. which is only £40 more than i payed.
however i pods arent as small as this or as cheap, the only con that comes to mind is the fact that it has limeted memory.
Me, im happy with this, i wont be upgrading to an ipod too soon, however i ... ...you mp3 player, if you want to have mass librarys on the thing, then maybe this isnt for you. i have managed to fit over 50 tracks onto it, so thats ok, as i have my music library on my computer.
Now onto the battery life, well it takes 1 aa battery, which i for one think is good, as they are small enough to cary spares around with you. The official specification says it gives you 15 hours battery life, and this is true, i cary it around for two ...

...I needed to know. The Creative MuVo website has all the avaliable manuals, drivers and updated whatnots that you'll ever need and after downloading them I soon managed to get the MP3 player to work.
It's easy to use, though even if you use the suggested Creative MediaSource media player to upload songs, it still sorts them into alphabetical order no matter how hard you try. Though, to be honest, I've not really researched in how to change this and ... ...songs on it in average, which is fine by me because due to the ease of swapping songs about I can change the playlist daily.
However, sometimes my computer just doesn't recognise it. I plug it in and nothing happens (though this hasn't happened for a while). I usually just re-install the driver and it's fine, and I haven't made much of an efford in seeing if I can solve this problem and indeed if it's the fault of my computer or the MP3 player.

The Creative Muvo TX was on special offer and now that I was more mobile and do a lot of cycling (BMX) I was after a small unit, easy to use with a reasonable amount of storage space. This Muvo TX offers just that with an added bonus of being able to record voice. Designed around a USB key, its just plug and play With XP no need for drivers, it can be used as a removable disk. Upload your MP3's and your done. Very easy to use, ... ...needed which does run low after a long period of use but saying that it only uses one. I use Duracell ultra M3 but a rechargeable set would be worth getting and as prices have never been so low it would be silly not to.
A simple control layout makes shifting through your songs very easy with play and pause function on the device itself. The earphones are a simple design and could have done with a 'remote' volume control but that would have jacked ...

This was one of the first MP3 players I bought, and it was so good I have stuck with the brand ever since. It is small and lightweight to the extent that it can easily fit in a pocket. The sound quality is only limited by the quality of you music files and your headphones. The built in graphic equalizer is very good, and can really change the nature of the sound produced.
Some people may find the size a little small, but in my experience (as I use ... ...forced me to keep changing my music, and as I have a collection that is currently about 40Gb, this has meant that I have rediscovered some old favourites. The software that comes with this brand of player is very powerful, and with a little perseverance it can create random play lists to fill your player. I have only two (minor) gripes with the Muvo TX. The first is that it is too easy to accidentally go into the menu when trying to change tracks, ...

i would recommend the creative muvo tx fm if you are interested in an all-in-one system. it is a mp3, voice recorder, thumb drive and radio all mixed in one.
the transfer of mp3 files onto the player is top notch and very easy. all you need to do is connect it via usb to your computer/laptop and u can start transferring files as per normal.
it will hold any type of files, word, excel, images, sound and not just mp3...so it is excellent as a thumb ... ...part) and that fits perfectly into most usb slots.
the mic is located near the lcd display and is a little small. you might have to hold it quite close to your mouth to be able to record something.
it requires an AAA battery, i would recommend getting rechargable ones as that can save you quite alot of money.
because of its sleek and rather slim design, the GUI tends to suffer a little. primitive scrolling is the order of the day and sometimes ...
