I bought the 10Gb version of the Nomad Jukebox 2 roughly 3-4 years ago with some birthday money, and to be honest i havn't looked back since!
It has been one of the greatest purchase I've made, It has the ability to store 6000 plus Mp3 songs, which is a lot! Im a music fanatic and I still have yet to completely fill it!
As I mentioned as a disadvantage, It is big and it is bulky and it is difficult to fit it into a pocket, however, it does come ... ...it isn't too bad! Also it has spik-protection so you can go out jogging or to the gym and not worry about your favourite tunes skipping.
Finally, the greatest thing ever about it is that it has a 6 Hr. battery time which is fantastic for most journeys and it is the most reliable Mp3 player I have seen! - A friend of mine purchased an Ipod (I think it was 1st generation) at the same time as i bought his, and within a year his Ipod wheel stopped working ...

Advantages: Sleek and portable Disadvantages: Poor track naming.
The Nomad is sleek and equally as important is ever so light. The newest features on Mp3 players is FM radio. The Nomad had this function and can store up to 32-preset FM stations, thus expanding its excellent use.
The Nomad takes over from Minidisc players in the recording department. Up to 4-hrs can be recorded via the inbuilt microphones. The battery (1AA) lasts up to 8 hrs and is therefore not up to Minidisc standards.
An estimate of 21 songs ... ...for up to 60 minutes of playback which is in fact not great but at least the radio is an added bonus.
Songs can be transferred from your PC via the very fast USB cable. I have not tested how long it takes for the songs to download onto the player but believe me it does not take very long at all.
My only real qualm is the fact that naming is apaling. The player can only name tracks of to 6 characters. This is nowhere near enough bearing in mind ...

Ok so I've had this product for over 2 years now and I'd thought I'd write a quick review on it.
Considering it's so old, it's the only MP3 player that I still regularly use - mainly in my car. I've been through quite a few players but this one holds the most songs and to me is the most reliable. I got it as a birthday present when I was 18 and I immediately transferred all my music across to it. At the time I had a Cavlier with a tape player in ... ...from ASDA and then carried this around with me at all times in the car. This meant I could listen to any song wherever I was.
The amount of music that can be held on here is phenomenal. It currently holds over 1500 songs of mine (sure I have more, but not ones I regularly listen to) and I still use it when travelling up and down the motorway. The headphones that came with it are Creatives own and are fairly good, but I use them more for gaming on ...

Advantages: More memory, tons of feature and sound quality! Disadvantages: FM tuner....and price
I got into this not knowing anything about MP3 players,, but with a bug to buy one after I read an article in a magazine.After reading numerous reviews, I narrowed down to the Nomad and the Rio. Based purely on looks (two things concerned me with this product, no expanded memory option and weak sound through the headphones) I went with the Nomad. And the price on Amazon pretty much blew away any competitive vendor.
I got the product and have been ... ...a number of songsdownloaded and ready to go in about an hour. Use of the software can be somewhat unintuitive, but it is simple enough to master after playing around with for a while.

I love this player. I bought it with high hopes and i was not let down. This is one player that does what it says. It holds thousands of songs from cd or internet and allows you to take them with you. The interface is very intuitive with almost all browsing functions being done with one wheel/button. The transfers are easy as well just plug it straight into you r computer and you can either imort from disk or drag and drop.
One additional point ... ...can be used a s a portable harddrive with only a floppydisks worth of installation.
The excellent thing of course is it uses a standard 3.5mm jack which means it is compatible with almost all sound systems so you can use it virtually anywhere.
I would greatly reccomend this player to anyone wanting to get a large storage mp3 player for a reasonable price. ...

i spent almost a month attempting to select the right mp3 player for myself. I tried small ones, that would fit into shirt pockets, i tried fashionable ones, like the iPod. But this player stood out of the crowd.
I thought it was a CD player put in the wrong place in the store, until i picked it up. The player is remarkably light for it's size and looking like a CD player is an advantage when potential thieves see it. iPod's are extremely recognizable ... ...three people that have been victimized by a thief for their iPod.
I bought my player on-line, for 125 pounds, including delivery. It came, and continued to impress me. The software that was included with the nomad was brilliant and i took to it like a duck to water. I quickly and easily put all the mp3 on my computer onto the player, and then started 'ripping' my CD's onto the player as well. This process was very simple and surprisingly fast.

ok, i admit it *standing up with my hand on my heart* I'm Andy... and I'm a musicoholic!
I'm not even going to start on how much music i have but i worked out about 18 months ago that there was no way it was gonna work just having a minidisc player anymore, even on mono so i decided to get an MP3 player.
Many people now would say they looked around, found features, battery life, music types etc... well, to tell the truth i bought this cuz it gave ... ...you dont always get what you pay for because this has been one of my favourite and indipensible purchases.
first the size of the drive, at mp3 format ive got around 3,500 tracks on mine and some of them are big. it tends to average out at 3 meg per 3 minutes of music if that helps.
The jukebox itself is pretty easy to use although i think it had to be as the instructions were...how to say... less than comprehensive. Most things were left for the ...

I'd been looking for some decent music making software for quite some time and I'd more or less settled on cakewalk as my application of choice. A week or so ago, however, I saw the Data Becker software in a Makro shop retailing at £16.99 and in a mad moment of excitement I bought it.
You know what it's like, you rush home with your new toy, gleefully slip it out of ... ...this time it went badly wrong.
First of all, I couldn't get the software to work at all and then HORROR OF HORRORS I found that it had really screwed up my whole system. The PC wouldn't recognise that it had got stuff attached to its COM ports and even worse every time I tried to get onto the net, it logged on but then just froze and refused to do anything. Over the last year MP3 players have established themselves as the most portable and cost effective method of listening to music on the move.
The Nomad II is a real gem. The sleek design and crisp mellow sound with solid bass will blow you away. Within an hour of buying it I was jogging round the park to the sound of Rocky - Eye of the Tiger. You can't get a more inspiritainol piece of music than that! It is great for running etc. as it is lightweight ... ...remote is a superb feature - you can change the volume and track without having to reach into your pocket.
Another great featue is the built in FM radio which is great for when you;ve got board off all the songs on it!
In general this product is highly recommended by me and I say - go and get one! ...

Advantages: Fairly light, large battery. Disadvantages: Difficult to master, quite noisy HDD.

I imported this player from the USA and I am stunned both by its sound quality and its beauty. Its sleek, silky, smooth and plays great. Although it comes in three different colours, I believe the silver casing definitely looks the best. Advantages: It has the EAX tehnology which delivers a superb sound quality and effects. With this MP3 player you an record meetings, seminars, keep a voice diary and transfer to you PC. Disadvantages: Software for transffering files to player is not too easy.

Don’t worry if like me you didn’t know much about MP3 players, well neither did I. Until, a friend explained the concept. My friend has one of these MP3 players, but it’s really difficult to chose one, there are quite a lot in the market but this is pretty neat looking and if you need a reason then that’s one. It’s got a lot of memory for a lot of songs, and it’s small and easily portable. It looks something cool ... ...but I would like it if it could get a bit louder but it’s ok. The price is good and if you try the smartshop.com site then you could pick it up at a cheap price. You have to recharge it quite often, so it’s like a mobile so it’s best to do it every night, for better quality listening. A good buy, expensive but good. I’m saving…….. ...
