Advantages: Perfect skin, what more can I say! Disadvantages: Too heavy for day - I really struggled to think of a disadvantage!
I am a self-confessed product junkie... and this is what self-confessed product junkies do - we go and spend £135 on a 60ml jar of facial moisturising crème. But as I am qualified as a beauty therapist you could say I'm doing this for the good of the people, they need an opinion from someone they can trust. And now I'm writing reviews on Ciao, well, that just means I'm helping even more people…
That's my excuse anyway.
I had read magazine article ... ...for at least a year before I actually bought it. So nobody can accuse me of impulse-buying this time. I kept reading about this miracle cream that all the celebrities use, and let's face it, famous people do tend to have fabulous skin. The more I read the more intrigued I became. Grazia magazine even named it as product that paved the way for a storm of miracle crèmes that were better than plastic surgery!
The more intrigued I was the more research ...

I've been using the creme morning & night on recommendation of my friend to get maximum benefits - this has worked very well for me. It also comes with a spatula so you know how much you're using & you dont get bacteria from your hands into the jar.
Results:
Its been a month now & I have to say I have been amazed by what its done.
At first I didn't really notice what it was doing to my skin & I was getting a lot of compliments from people ... ...told anyone that I was using this cream as I wanted to know if it really worked. Its given my skin life & gives it a very nice glow. As for my spots - what spots??!!! They've all stopped - I cant believe it. I noticed it took away a lot of the redness from the scars left by spots & now im just waiting for the scars to start diminishing. Which fingers crossed will be soon.
It has also smoothed out some fine lines I could see appearing.

...nothing but rave reviews about Creme de la Mer, an A-list moisturiser with an A-list price tag attached. Magazines are forever gushing about this product, associating words such as 'miracle' and 'extraordinary' to it so naturally curiosity got the better of me. Advantages: Does seem to leave your skin feeling very soft - revised, please see extra comments below Disadvantages: Very expensive, seems difficult to get hold of, can be greasy on the skin
...I was drawn to the Creme De La Mer counter and before you could say ' I wonder if I have done the right thing by paying £75 for a small 30ml jar of cream' I found myself the dubiously proud owner of the so called miracle product. The hype (as per the brochure and newspaper reports).
Creme De La Mer was invented by an aerospace physicist, Dr. Max Huber who after being horrifically burned after a routine experiment exploded in his face, began looking ... ...into a rich broth and Creme De La Mer was born.
Estee Lauder bought the company from Dr. Huber in 1994, but after attempting short cuts, soon found that the cream had to go through exactly the same lengthy process in order for it to be effective. The makers of the cream claim that in a very short time, the skin becomes softer, firmer, looking virtually creaseless with aging lines and pores noticably less visable. Even the driest of complexions feel ...

...crystals, which is what the creme is about. If you don't break them down, the ingredients aren't all utilized and they clog your pores. The patting is to prevent over-use. If you pat, you'll find you only use as much as your skin can absorb.
I use it mainly at night, when I go to bed in an air-conditioned room, so it's cooler and not as humid. In about 5-10minutes, your skin is fresh and smooth. It's also good for when acne treatments or other products ... ...and itchy. It calms everything down really quick. This is when you can use it on areas in the day. Sometimes, I use it in the day even when my skin is fine. You just have to wait for it to absorb a little before you apply your makeup or go out and start sweating. It's never given me any problems whatsoever.
Usage takes getting used to. Patience is a must. But then if you're paying up to $155 for a jar of creme, it pays to do your homework and use ...

Advantages: Many; skin is smoother, less lined, transformed. Disadvantages: Cost, and isn't available in all areas.
...Introduction:
I was introduced to Creme de la Mer a few years ago when working in the industry. However, it always seemed a little expensive and I didn't really see the need to use such expensive products on my relatively young skin.
However, a year ago I was glassed in the face, which has obviously left a large, noticeable scar. I knew that Creme had been recommended to use on injuries so I thought that this was the right time to buy and try.
... ...injured area and the Moisturising Creme twice a day all over my face and neck.
The Results:
Well ... after a year, my skin is the best it has ever been. Straight away my skin was definitely smoother and had a glow. Some users might feel that the Creme is too thick or rich, but after a little while your skin gets used to this and feels quenched, not greasy.
I used to suffer from breakouts, which would last for ages and leave red marks. Now, my ...

Advantages: only that it smells nice Disadvantages: blocked pores, too expensive
I originally bought this cream 6 months ago admittedly because I read in a magazine that celebrities raved about it! I had just entered my thirties so thought I should do something to keep the dreaded wrinkles at bay. My skin is basically combination with dry cheeks and an oily t-zone. The cream was designed by a NASA scientist called Max Huber who fermented all kinds of algae-type products to make a cream that actually got rid of burns on his face- ... ...using his formula. The cream has the following drawbacks
1) Hideously expensive at £75 for the smallest 30ml size. Although admittedly this does easily last 6 months with twice daily use on the face. It has a very thick texture (very similar to the original style Nivea in the dark blue tin).
2) If you apply it according to the package instructions this takes forever! You are supposed to apply it to perfectly dry skin, warm some cream in your hands ...

Advantages: it's quite nice Disadvantages: the price
This has been hyped as one of the best face creams in the world, and it's certainly one of the most expensive. So curiosity got the better of me and when it became available in the UK recently I tried it. I was not impressed, especially at the price. What's special about this is an extract that's apparently made from fermented seaweed. Sounds vile but the cream is quite nice. Well, I used it and nothing much happened. It was probably a bit rich for ... ...couple of irritated areas, but that was about it. Perhaps I shouldn't have been expecting more, but I can buy Clarins or Gatineau for a quarter of the price and get an equally good result. Perhaps it's fair to say that I have a friend with eczema who swears it's the only thing that helps and is addicted to it. I certainly won't be bothering to get it again though. ...

The actual product itself sat on top of my skin for what felt like an eternity, I was too afraid to put it on just before getting into bed and wasting a fivers worth on my pillowcase so I started washing my face at about 6pm so I could really get my money's worth. Advantages: Nice smell, maybe it will make your skin perfect Disadvantages: too expensive, did nothing for me
I was so excited when I first got this because I thought that this was the answer to my prayers! I thought that it was a bit pricey but cheaper than surgery to get rid of my acne scars! That's what I thought, but I was disappointed with it IMMENSELY!! My skin is basically normal, young skin with an oily t-zone in summer and annoying acne scars on my cheeks. The smell is quite nice, and the texture is okay (thick-ish), but I've been using it for a good few months now and nothing is happening! The Creme de la Mer, ladies and gentlemen, DOES NOT contain a SPF, which means that, although I spent a fortune for this cream, I have to spend even more for another cream with SPF (and would I apply it before or after the Creme de la Mer?).This is not acceptable, everyone knows about the risks of skin cancer and if I pay a fortune for a face cream then it has to be perfect.
