The World Is A Big Blue Marble When You See It From Above Review with images

AdvantagesT20 cricket is exciting

DisadvantagesTest cricket can be boring

"...I have been a cricket fan most of my life. Nowadays cricket is my most favourite sport. It used to be football but I got fed up of the huge salaries earned by players. I even don't watch 'Match of the Day' every week. Having Sky Sports has really helped my cricket knowledge. Most recently I have been watching the New Zealand v Pakistan series on Zee TV and India v Sri Lanka and South Africa v England on Sky Sports 1. The purpose of this op is to give ..." Read review

India to win the World Cup! Review with images

AdvantagesIndia to win with style

DisadvantagesEngland are poor

"...is going to win the Cricket World Cup! A Pakistani cricketer told me it's not going to be them, and then gave me the pre-printed scorecard with all the scores on for the final on April 2nd! Ok, fixing aside we are up and running on the subcontinent and here are my tips! So, after stuffing Australia in the Ashes and setting a world record eight successive international Twenty20 victories with the opening win in the two match drawn series England ..." Read review

Ashes Fever

AdvantagesGreat cricket in prospect, intense rivalry and passion

DisadvantagesIf it is a one sided contest, fans/media will lose interest.

"...name given to the Test cricket series played between England and Australia. It is the oldest cricketing rivalry and traditionally has been fierce and highly publicised History ================= Although the legend of the Ashes did not arise until 1882. The series is currently played at approximately two yearly intervals, alternately in England and Australia. The Ashes are "held" by the country which last won a series and to "regain" them ..." cricket is 2 interesting

AdvantagesRare intellectual sport

DisadvantagesLonger than other sports

"Cricket is interesting.I think it is the only sport where you actually have to think about what you are doing and what you are going to do unlike 'sports' like darts and walking. The recent ICC knockout trophey has shown that unlike most other sports each team has a chance of winning despite of an inferior team as it is one the few sports that actually is determined by the team that actually wants to win more rather than having a team full of superstars ..." Cricket has got to be the most boring thing ever created

AdvantagesOther Sports

DisadvantagesIt's cricket

"Why, oh why, oh why. It's just an exercise in pointlessness. I remember standing in the field at school bored out my skull, waiting, waiting, just in case the heavy red ball happened to come my way and when it did I had to throw it back. What fun. In an hour it might have come my way, ooh, at least twice. My brain was starting to rot away. Boring. On television it's even more boring, droning commentators, horrible white clothes, green, green ..." Read review

Duckworth and Lewis System

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesDoesn't work

"...everyone knows that in a cricket match the team which scores the most runs is the winner and if both teams have the same number of overs what's the problem? One run more than the other team scored is more than they scored. Seems to me that Messrs. Duckworth and Lewis, with good marketing, have convinced the cricket authorities that their method is the right one to adjudicate in rain affected limited over matches. It takes into account ..." liar

Advantageswas ok

Disadvantagesnow a liar

"I can not believe this man at first when match fixing allegations came out I thought that their must be a mistake after all he is a figure that we all watched and loved and would never expect him to behave like he has done. Then when the match fixing enquiry heard his testimony about the times when he received money I was totally shocked, as the enquiry went on and we heard more revelations, I got used to it, and accepted the fact that this man was ..." I hate cricket

AdvantagesThe club house booze

DisadvantagesCricket whites, wickets, leagues, umpires, bats, pads - need l go on!

"...l not? I hate cricket - there l've said it. Im sorry but if you had to suffer the way l have had to suffer you too would hate this stupid pointless game. My partner plays cricket - therefore during the months of May through to September he eats, sleeps and drinks CRICKET. When he is not play it he's reading about it, or playing a computerised game on the PC. How boring is it - the game takes approximately 40 million hours (no exaggerating) ..." Read review

Botham the almost irreplaceable (RE-WRITTEN)

AdvantagesA legend, inspirational, with a heart of gold

DisadvantagesNever been replaced, except for a brief 2 year period by Freddie

"Sorry - I posted the wrong text here by mistake initially, as some of you spotted. What I meant to post here was as follows: Ian Botham was the premier all-rounder whom England have struggled to replace for years. Many have been saddled with the label of the next Ian Botham, but noone could live up to his reputation. Here are some of those who were anointed by the media: Derek Pringle - thrust from university into the England team, but a ..." Read review

YAWWWWWWWWN

AdvantagesNone

Disadvantagesboring slow waste of time

"Cricket is sooooo boring. I hate it when I turn on the telly and its on. It is crap. Its so slow. Nothing ever happens. England always loose not that it matters because I couldn't give a crap even if they managed to win something. I heard in the news someone started fixing matches. Well a bit of scandel! The guy probably thought no one would notice cos they were all asleep. Its a waste of time. A match goes on for about 5 days. Everyone at my school ..." Read review

The awesome game of cricket

AdvantagesExcitement, intrigue, battle, enjoyment for player, commentator and spectator alike.

Disadvantages5 day test cricket can be a bit slow at times

".... . The game of cricket is played between two teams (say X & Y) of 11 players each. In the classic 5 day version of the game each team must go in twice. The team who GOES IN first (say team X) will bat until all its batsmen are OUT, including the NOT OUT batsman. After this team Y will GO IN to bat next until they are ALL OUT. Team X who has been out in the field, and bowling while team Y was IN, will now have a second chance TO GO IN, in order ..." Read review
