    Advantages Advantages New graphics

Disadvantages Disadvantages No stroy, generic enemies, no fun, too mainstream!

As all crysis reviews, I must refer back to the first game that set standars on the day. Was used in benchmarking, and seen as "the definitive game to test new gear". Projects like Crysis cruncher was born out of this hype. And has been totally worth every word typed into the digital world!!! Great gameplay, great weapons and great innovation with the nanosuit. What more can you ask from it? Well, Crysis 2 kept me asking: what the hell has happened? I mean, the gameplay was like a distorted mind of a 12 year old crysis fanatic. "Lets put some really badass nanosuit in it, that takes MORE ... more

Advantages Advantages Beautiful Graphics, RPG customization and skill trees, 6+ hours of gameplay, Strong multiplayer

Disadvantages Disadvantages High spec PC required (excl. XB360, PS3)

When I first bought Crysis back in 2009, I was stunned with the sheer beauty and brilliance of the game engine and the semi, open-world style gameplay similar to games such as Farcry, etc. It also made the most use of my PC (Custom built gaming PC, not your run-of-the-mill style Toshiba), and my cooling fan let me know this. Crysis 2 is as if you took Crysis, threw in RPG-esque elements of upgrading and customization, added about 2 extra hours of campaign time, a quite frankly, brilliant multiplayer option and set the game engine graphics to 11. It is, in every way, Beautiful. At least I think ... more

Advantages Advantages Good multiplayer, improved customizations

Disadvantages Disadvantages no replayability, ugly graphics, boring

Crysis 2 feels like a generic First person shooter. It lost the unique feel that Crysis 1 and warhead had. Now you just have random firefights in an urban area. as you progress through the city acquiring upgrades, getting different guns, and killing the military it gets really repetitive and feels like a pointless game. It lost the beauty the original Crysis had and its now grey and boring. Online was fun but not the best. I regret buying it so early when it had such a high price. it was very disappointing not being able to blow up buildings and tear it all down in giant vehicles. It seems ... more

Advantages Advantages Good sound, improved multiplayer.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lackluster graphics, poor replayability, awkward controls, feels generic

Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead have been the pinacle of Computer graphics and gaming over the last few years. As such, my expectations for Crysis 2 were huge. Jumping straight into the game, it's such a dissapointment. The opening sequences look bland, enclosed and very standard. After 10 minutes of getting used to the (awkward) controls, the game turns into a generic shooter which just spawns enemy after enemy. The big bonus of the game is the sound. It has a brilliant bass and really makes you feel like your in a huge city. The added multiplayer has improved since Crysis Wars, but unfortunately ... more
