Advantages: great gameplay, visually stunning Disadvantages: poor final act, sometimes monotonous
This is a lovely, stunning FPS that has an engaging plotline in my opinion. An asteroid crashes down to Earth, next to North Korea. The North Korean Government seals off the area, claiming the mysteries of the asteroid for themselves. The asteroid suddenly bursts open, revealing a colossal, 2km high alien ship. The ship generates an immense force sphere, freezing a vast portion of the island and drastically altering the global weather system. The ... ...Dunn, 'Nomad' in 2020. You are part of the US Delta Force (Special Operations) and the game starts with a parachute jump from a large plane. Anyway, you're there because some archaeologists found something a bit weird; then they went missing and now the North Korean's are quarantining the area.
Your fellow Delta Force team members get kidnapped by large, metallic octopus creatures. You then come to a huge mountain which is the alien mothership. ...

The best thing about crysis is that, gameplay is unique. What you do and how you do will have an effect on the further playing of the game. For example how you approach the enemy each time will have a different affect on you. The enemy AI won't react the same way in each time you encounter him.

You don't always have to take the road which you're given. You can go along side the shore, take the woods to get better cover and camouflage. This allows you to ambush your enemy and give them some kick ass!. So each time when you play the same scenario, You'll get a different experience. And you'll never know what you'll expect cuz you're taking different ...

Sound - 10/10 - Ah… The sound, close your eyes and imagine that you standing in a jungle, everything you hear down to the birds singing, the distant waves hitting the beech nearby and even the grass rustle as you walk through it. All this is available in the game and its truly amazing really helps to immerse you in the Crysis world.

WOW this is the best game I have ever played! After reading that I needed a pc equivalent of a nuclear reactor to play this I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that my mid range PC copes with it brilliantly! (3.4Ghz Dual Core, 3GB ram, ATI 3850) The graphics are fantastic, I think mine are more or less set to medium, and it still looks amazing. I have only played the single player campaign which is quite short but intense with a massive variety. If the multiplayer is anywhere near as good as single player then it will also be great. Crysis seems to be one of the most anticipated PC games in this part of the year. Does it live up to its hype? Well? Yes and No
I'll start off with a bit of back story.

Once i clickd the shortcut i was forced to watch through about 4, un skippable, company logos (this can be fixed in the configs) Once i was at the game menu i adjusted the settings to suit my PC and i was off. The game began in the dropship and i was stunned, the graphics, even on medium, were amazing, the faces and animations were incredibly life like, yet the lip syncing seemed to be out a bit.

Crysis (PC) Review by SondarPwnage
Crysis is the sci-fi story of one nano-suited armed US special forces operative.
A solid interesting and enganging story which is fleshed out with open ended gameplay and, my personal favourite addition, vehicles. This game shines. Armed with the latest in US army technology, the nano suit, gives you nearly superhuman powers. Cloak, extra defensive, extra strength all give a whole new dynamic to the gameplay.
... ...makes a nice change from some of the so-called "amazing-games" Basically, A simple search and rescue to recuse a research team, headed up by Helena Rosenthal, from the clutches of the North Koreans becomes vitally more important as something far larger is uncovered. Something huge and beyond comprehension. Also a range of veichles make an apperance including jeeps helicopters VTOLs and tanks. SO much fun!
A long campaign, including mission editor ...

Advantages: Next-gen, easy to play, superb graphics Disadvantages: Could be longer, DirectX 9 > DirectX 10
Crysis is a tech-demo, that turned out to become a full game with a sequel. The graphics are... strong. It requires a strong system, and it IS worth it. The whole beauty of the island is something that you need to see. Also the effects are good, stealth looks... stealth-ish and the small things are important too like watching leaves get moved when you walk. If there was music, I didn't notice it unless it was supposed to make a dramatic effect. It ... ...to hear people while in stealth mode, hiding in a bush. The game isn't the Fallout 3 type of long, but it's long enough to get fun out of it. There is a small chance of people trying to change the controls. It's almost perfect (almost because of glitches). Now the bad things. In one part of the game when you get out into the snowy island part, you can't use your good guns - they won't have ANY use against the enemies. You will have to use the annoying ...

Crysis has been hailed for ages, hyped up and named "game of the year" by many. Its high-end and is meant to be the first game to fully use the new Direct x 10 power and thus requires a Direct x 10 card for the best results. It still "works" on old machines tho, including ones without Direct x 10 cards. My machine has a 1 gb 7950 GTX which is DX9, not 10. Each has its own goodness, but cloak is the one you will use yourself or you will soon be out-gunned and dead. Maximum Strength allows you to punch tree's, buidlings, ...

This game looks A M A Z I N G!! If you think your PC has the horse power then pop in this baby and prepare to be amazed by the visuals. Advantages: Just about everything you could ask of an FPS. Disadvantages: A total hardware eater, the single hardest game to run!
Crysis is a state-of-the-art PC game, developed by Crytek (The creators of FarCry). Set on a lush tropical island, you play as a member of a Delta Force team, but not any normal military team... Quick review of Crysis (PC)
I'm not into games like this, Supernatural stuff and like that. The environment was great, with a good graphic card you get the feeling that you are in the game.
