I have never ever experienced such awful, incompetent service from a retailer. Over the last 6 weeks dealing with Curry's I have lost count how many times I have been told someone would call me back and they haven't or given misinformation. Currys is a leading electrical retailer selling a wide range of electrical goods from TVs and DVD players to Cookers and fridge freezers. Purchased a LCD 37" plasma screen + product support Feb 08. On Dec 5 T.V. broke down, rang product support 3 times and arranging dates, none of which they kept, we took the T.V. back to store, they refused to take it back. Salesperson spoke to their Technicians on e phone, they promised to call out after I had returned home and rung them again. Aguy turned up 23rd Dec , said he would see about a part and call us back. Heard nothing . phoned on Jan 6 09 was told they couldn't repair, Phoned complaints, they would not let me return set, I got Samsung Tel no from them, they collected it a fortnight ago, still haven't got it back. I honestly believe that Currys have lost it. I went to Currys in Ealing yesterday to buy a 37 inch LCD television. Fortunately the previous day we had received an Argos SALE leaflet which had special offers on a wide range of televisions. I purchased a fridge freezer in February 2007 and took out an insurance at the same time. My freezer broke down about 8 weeks ago and since then have had 3 maintenance men out see to it with no success of getting it to work,so therefore I still do not have a freezer. I rely on having a freezer because I am 87 years old and am taken out once a week to buy my groceries which normally include my week's meals which I can put into the freezer, this whole experience has been very upsetting as I thought that by taking out an insurance on this appliance would take out any worry if it should break down.
