What is it? Cutex Nourishing nail polish remover is for weak nails. It has vitamins, moisturisers and is a nail whitening formula. It comes in a 200ml white bottle, similar to the rest of the Cutex range. It has a purple screw top lid and a purple label on the front with the product name on it. On the back, there is a white label with all the product information you'd ever need to know. I think this bottle looks quite old-fashioned and could do with being updated, but it obviously isn't incredibly ugly because I chose it out of all the other nail polish removers. Advantages Advantages Contains a whitenng formula and added vitamins and moisturisers.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Like most removers a strong, unpleasant smell.

I quite often like to paint my nails and do favour darker colours so if you are similar to me, it is always worth thinking about the type of nail varnish remover you use to ensure your nails are protected as much as possible from frequent application and removal of nail varnish. The Cutex variety I use is labelled 'Nourishing' but does also contain a nail whitening formula. This one (around £2 for a 200ml bottle) comes in a white plastic bottle with a lilac screw top. This remover also contains vitamins and moisturisers so is one of the most caring types of nail varnish remover I have seen. A ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages weak, dried my nails out, did not whiten, did not strengthen

I have naturally long nails and like to keep them looking their best by giving myself a mini manicure once a week. I vary my nail polish according to my mood or outfits, and have a huge selection of shades to choose from. It all has to come off in the end though, and I like to have a reliable nail polish remover that can clean the colour off quickly and easily. I have recently been using this Nourishing Nail Polish Remover from Cutex, which is readily available from high street stores like Boots and costs £1.55 for a 100ml bottle. Cutex say: "This Nourishing Nail Polish Remover from Cutex ... more

Advantages Advantages efficient, simple to use, dinky

Disadvantages Disadvantages no nourishing action, leaves nails a bit yellow after colourful/dark polishes

Price and availability: £1.55 for 100ml in Superdrug at the minute, also available in most drugstores and supermarkets such as Tesco, etc. Design: I love this cute, dinky little plastic, transparent bottle. Being able to see how much there is left is always helpful too. I love how the brand is "Cutex" and the bottle is so cute, it makes so much sense! I think this was done to appeal to many females, especially young girls and teenagers. The purple top and sticker just accentuate the femininity of the product! I think it would also be great for popping in your bag when travelling, as it such a ... more

*I am reviewing the Nourishing Cutex as opposed the the strengthening as it is not listed* I first discovered Cutex Nail Polish Remover whilst at uni, one of the joys of sharing a bathroom with 5 other girls is that you get introduced to a wide variety of products, some not so good, some which are little gems! Cutex Nail Polish Remover comes in an tall opaque 200ml bottle. It has a lilac screw top lid and a blue/lilac label stating that it contains vitamins such as B5 to nourish, moisturisers and a nail whitening formula. It also states that it is for weak nails. The liquid itself is white in ... more

Advantages Advantages Works REALLY well, good price, does what it says on the bottle (:

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't think of any

I first bought this from Boots at £1.55 after I spilt purple nailpolish all over my white tiled floor. I'd been using the nail polish I had in my bathroom cupboard and it hadn't been getting rid of the bright stains so I resorted to the Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover, a product I had never before used. I was delight at the results, the polish was coming off the tiles without any major scrubbing, it was so much easier and stronger than the other remover! A while later, I used the Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover for its real purpose, to remove nail polish. Again, I was impressed with ... more
