Advantages Advantages Clean hands where ever you are, cheap to buy, handy size for carrying around

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The smell

At the begining of the new school term, the school sent home a note about the Swine Flu and the precautions that the school would be applying for the safety of the children, according to the note they were going to supply an antibacterial hand gel in each classroom to encourage the kids to wash their hands regularly, I thought this was a good idea because judging by my own three children it's a nightmare to get them to move and wash their hands, so by using this hand gel they dont have to move and still they will have clean hands were necassary, and coming into the winter lots of colds and ... more

Advantages Advantages Cleans your hands without drying them out

Disadvantages Disadvantages This may lead to over worrying about hand hygiene

I have always been a clean person especially where hygiene is concerned; having 2 children means that I always have wipes in the house and I take wipes out with me. I like to be able to clean my hands when I feel it is necessary. With wet wipes the packs are large which meant I had to find a suitable container or bag to take only a few, as I don't like carry a lot around with me, and the travel size packs of wipes are in my opinion are overpriced. On cold days they leave my hands feeling wet and cold and then I have to find a bin to dispose of the wipe. I am not too keen on using public ... more

After a recommendation of this product from my sister a few months ago, I decided to invest in a bottle of my own. The product is: CUTICURA ANTI-BACTERIAL HAND HYGIENE GEL. Before using this product, I'd never encountered Cuticura and so I was a bit wary of buying it as I'd never even heard the name of the company before. So I decided to do a bit of detective work and as in any of my typical reviews I have included a bit of background information on the company behind the product. CUTICURA? I was quite surprised to find out that Cuticura date all the way back to 1865 - a whopping 140 years old ... more

My children and I are always out and about doing one thing or another, and children being children always get in a mess. So I wanted something that was easy to use and most importantly keeps your hands clean. That’s when I came across the product called Cuticura, now I have never heard of this before but apparently it has been around since 1865, but only mainly in America. ~ What is the product I am reviewing ~ It is an Anti-Bacterial Hand Hygiene Gel. No need for any water or towels and keeps your hands clean and kills 99.9% of all germs. It is in a small 100ml bottle which is an ideal size ... more

Advantages Advantages Does it's job. Quite good value compared to other brands.

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit drying, and a little runny.

A whole range of anti-bacterial gels have suddenly appeared on the shelves now and this is obviously one of them. This is a relatively unknown brand to me - I think I only bought this as this was more or less one of the cheaper ones out of the more seemingly competent ones [the ones with the most claims :o) ]. There is definitely a use for these. As a regular user of hand wipes, I have always found it awkward with having to deal with the used wipe afterwards. Of course, the obvious solution is to find a bin, however, on my travels nowadays i have found that the bins are disappearing ... more

DESIGN This comes in a small plastic bottle, although the bottle is small there is a lot of gel inside it. The labels on the back and front of it are quite nice and they have lots of information on them about what is inside the bottle and how to use it. The gel inside is clear in colour and has little air bubbles throughout it. The bottle has quite a cool design, the Cuticura label is surrounded with varying intensities of blue and a fancy silver line wisps down across it. The writing on the front is clear and the writing on the back is also clear "until half way down the bottle" then it gets ... more

I’m not a fan of antibacterial staff in the kitchen, bathroom and everywhere but since I have little kids I have to take care of their health. When we go out to do the shopping I don’t get them out of the pushchair so we don’t use the hand hygiene gel but after playing in the playground I always clean their hands with the antibacterial gel. Package ------------- The Cuticura Hand Hygiene Gel comes in a transparent plastic bottle. Its size is perfect I can put it in my pocket or in my bag. I have a lot of them and I always have at least one with me. The bottle contains 100 ml transparent gel ... more

Cuticura – Hand Hygiene Gel As I am currently pregnant and really don’t want to get the flu I decided to try and protect myself a bit with using a hand gel which would kill any germs on it. It meant that when I was out and about I could discretely use the gel and not have to wash my hands (as it is not always possible). I found this hand hygiene gel in one of the chemists on offer for £1 so I thought I really didn’t have anything to lose in trying this certain brand name. **WHAT IS IT** It is a hand gel, which is a hygienic alternative to washing your hands. It can be used when you can’t get ... more

Advantages Advantages Kills the really bad bugs, useful when you cant wash your, smells good

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't do well at remove grease or dirt

I first used this in Poland, when my very "clean" friend wanted to constantly clean his hands whenever touching a surface that didn't belong to him. It was after this that I realised the benefits it could have. The gel has a sort of watermelon-y smell to it and it dries very quickly. At about £1 for a 100ml bottle (which will last a fair while, depending on how often you use it) it isn't too bad, really. A 100 ml container will also be able to get through airports, so you can kill those nasty germs left by other passengers on the plane! I will, however, say that there is no alcohol content in ... more

Over recent years, there seems to have been an explosion of hand hygiene gels on the market and they seem to be stocked pretty much anywhere you look. Outbreaks of cold and flu, particularly swine flu, must have helped boost profits in this industry substantially. Several years ago, when I was looking for a hand gel product of this type, to take on holiday with me to clean hands before eating (particularly for picnics), I remember that there wasn't a great deal of options in the supermarket and this product was the only one stocked. **What is Hand Hygiene Gel?** Ok, so most of you will be ... more
