Advantages: Only uses one label at a time Disadvantages: Doesn't print in colour
...saw an advert for a DYMO LabelWriter machine which prints out one label at a time. Whoppeee!!! I thought. This sounds like the answer to my prayers. Now, my company uses a local firm which supplies office stationery and equipment and it gives us very good discounts because we do spend quite a tidy sum with them throughout the year. So, next day, off I trotted to get the catalogue to see if I could get this item. Oh, goodeeee, its in there! There ... ...decided I would get the Dymo Label Writer 310. It was exactly what I wanted but it was quite pricey (details at the end of the review). Anyhow, I decided that I would order it it would save having to dispose of the hardly unused toner cartridges.
My machine arrived the next day our local firm are brilliant if they have it in stock then we are assured it will be delivered the very next day.
Was I or was I not excited about this piece of office ...

Advantages: Top time saver for ebayaholics Disadvantages: The labels can be a bit pricy

The dymo is a simple little printer aimed solely at printing little adhesive labels which you stick onto parcels, jiffy bags and packages. You can also make little labels to stick onto things, I labelled up some of my storage boxes with contents.
The package came with a usb cable, software cd, initial roll of labels and thermal paper. The drivers were easy to install and integrated with Word, and my address book. The software ... ...I bought the dymo from Misco (www.msico.co.uk) for 55 pounds plus delivery. It was actually an end of line item the 400 series has replaced the 300.
Companies like Avery Make laser labels which are sheets of labels you can feed through an ordinary printer. Avery labels work but personally I prefer the convince of having a single device for the job. Also when I used avery labels I found I ended up wasting loads when I left sheets in the printer or ...

...there. Once set up the Dymo label software,which comes with the printer, coudn't make life any easier. With its own address book, label designer, just pick the label number from the drop down list add the details, and print! Other sources can also be printed, such as Excel, access and wordperfect. The Help guide is actually informative, and produces a good step by step guide.
Printing is almost instantaneous, unlike the standard Inkjet printer, ... ...quick reference to all the Dymo label styles and sizes. With a quality feel and small desk size (about a fifth the size of a standard desktop printer) the overall package is certainly worth the asking price of around £50. If like me you managed to get it for £39, it becomes an absolute bargain. ...
