Quick review of D-Link DKVM 2K - KVM switch - 2 ports

My computer (Windows XP) would not even boot with this attached! But anyway, the pair of cable-sets it comes with each have a single connector ending in three connectors - video, mouse and keyboard. So why are the mouse and keyboard parts only 300mm long when the video part is 2m long? They have all got to go to the same PC. This means the switch has to be round the back of the PC and the long video cable clutters everything up. Surely the mouse and keyboard parts could have been the same length! ...
