Our router was D-link, which might affect the quality of the improvement - perhaps it helps to have both router and adapter from the same company. Using with a d link dir 655 and it works well. I am using my laptop upstairs in my house diagonally away from the router and speed averages 162mpbs so a big improvment on the internal wireless card whcih averaged 24mpbs. Signal generally stays low but this has not caused any problems so far and using the usb stichk in the adaptor stops it getting to hot. ...
