Advantages Advantages ok price compared to others, hold quite a bit

Disadvantages Disadvantages quite thin, dodgy tie handles

Daisy is a Tesco brand which offers various cleaning products for the home. Refuse Sacks These refuse sacks (aka bin bags to you and me) are presented in a roll with an orange label holding them all together. There are 20 black bags which can be torn apart. The bags are 70l sized ones and measure approx 144cm x 94cm. They feature a tie top. Tesco advise that these bags are not ideal for food. A 20pk is available from Tesco priced at £2.00. My Thoughts When it comes to disposing of household rubbish, I prefer to place it within a black bin bag in my kitchen bin. I normally buy a 10pk of bags ... more

    Advantages Advantages Really strong

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little pricey

While doing our shopping our usual black bags were substituted with daisy ones and at £2 for a pack of 20 bags I did think at first they were a little expensive but actually they are great value and although I still look out for my bargains they are great. I have used many daisy products before as they are great value items and only usually cost half the price of more established brands. The size of these bags is recommend for up to a 70 litre capacity now as my bin is not that big it does mean these bags fill the whole bin but then hang half way down the sides again which is not a big problem ... more

Advantages Advantages Good thick quality plastic, large capacity, strong

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly expensive for an own band bag

have been using Daisy Refuse sacks for about a year now, previously I was using Sainsbury's own but I actually prefer these ones from Tesco's own brand as I personally feel they are a better quality refuse sack. I pay £2 for a roll of 20 black quality plastic bags. Each bag is perforated on the roll and each one is very easy to tear off without fear of ripping the main body of the bag. The bags are huge. They are actually much larger than the original ones from Sainsbury's I was using. These Daisy ones are able to hold a maximum of 70 litres of rubbish so you can imagine how big that is. In ... more

    5 Stars Bin Bags! 21/03/2013
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Strong, hold a lot, opaque

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

We don't have any room for a rubbish bin in our tiny kitchen, so ever since we moved in we have just used a black bin bag to put our rubbish in. Because of this we do tend to get through a lot of bin bags, at least one a day usually. While I definitely don't see the point in paying over the odds for something as simple as bin bags, I have to admit that I do steer away from the dirt cheap ones. This is because they're simply not strong enough to hold very much and can cause a real mess if the bag splits, which happens a lot with the cheaper ones. The bin bags that I have been using for the past ... more

Advantages Advantages great quality, strong and durable

Disadvantages Disadvantages a little more expensive than value brands

We like to keep big black bags in our house in case we are tidying out a room and need to throw a lot of things up into the roof space or the garage. Usually we buy what is cheapest, however I have found that some cheaper brands don't hold as much or rip easily, so I decided to try out the Daisy brand bin bags. The Bags These are your average black bin bags, they come in a roll of 20 and have handles to make them easy to tie when they are full. These bags apparently have a 70 litre capacity, however I haven't tested that completely, but they are a good size. What I Thought I really like these ... more

Advantages Advantages Handy tie handles, quite strong

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The price

When it comes to refuse sacks, I tend to purchase whatever is cheapest when I do my weekly shop at Tesco’s, which tends to be their Value range of sacks. However, if they don’t have these in stock at the time, I go for their next range which is the Daisy range. There is quite a big price difference between that of the Daisy range and that of the Tesco Value range. You can get a roll of black refuse sacks for just under £1.00, whereas a roll of the Daisy ones costs in the region of £2.20. I wondered what possible difference could there be to justify paying more than double the amount for the ... more
