Ive got to say, I bought this book a couple of weeks ago because I wanted it to take on holiday but a couple of days before we went I just wanted to read a couple of pages to get the jist of the book. I borrowed this book from a friend & could not put it down. It is truly heartbreaking but compelling. A true story of abuse & how a foster family tried to break through the barriers & shocking behaviour of a child locked in a world born out of violence. This book is easy to read & I became fixated with each page, desperate to know how this poor child coped with such trauma & whether she survived her nightmare.
