Well, as a complete food freak and wino (for those who have read my Wolf Blass review, you will know what I am talking about!) - I am always on the hunt for food and drink inspirations... As a reader of Good Food and Olive magazines, I stumbled upon Delicious when its first issue was launched (I think it must be at least a year old now, but can't find my back issues to be certain). It's interesting how on the one hand, we're apparently an obese nation living on a diet of takeaways, Pot Noodles, crisps and fizzy drinks and never ever cooking from scratch, and on the other hand there is evidently a large market for cookery books, magazines and TV programmes. I'm not sure how long Delicious - which calls itself "the deliciously different food magazine" and seeks to inspire us with new ideas - has been around for (their website, www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk , wasn't much help on this score) but I don't think it is all that long. Delicious, I just discovered this delicious food magazine it is one I bought in July the magazine cost me £2.50 I hoped the food would be delicious just like the name of the magazine. This glossy magazine has 62 summer recipes in it; it is a July edition after all. The mag is published each month. There is a website www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk I just checked it out and guess what its Christmas ideas. The magazine contains recipes, information about cooking gadgets, articles by celebrities, articles about which wines to choose, much the same articles as many other food mags. I first came across Delicious magazine in WHSmith a while ago, there was a freebie on the cover and I was getting bored with cooking the same old basic meals day in day out. What a find! Many of the recipes I have found have become regular favourites in our house. This magazine is simply fantastic, so good I have it on regular subscription. Several of my friends subscribe too, we are always chatting about the recipes and swapping ideas for menus. When I subscribed I got a very nice free Typhoon weighing scale worth about £25.00 just what I needed as my old scales were on the blink. This free ... more
