Advantages: Fast, reliable, excellent value, backed by Dell! Disadvantages: runs warm compared to new Core Duo by Intel
...as a replacement for my Dell Inspiron Laptop, which i have never had any problems with. I normally build PC's myself, being an IT expert, but this Dell offered a few features you simply could not buy at the time. In essence, this was the first comercially available BTX based dual core computer. A bit of a milestone in computing terms.
It comes with a choice of dual core processors, the Pentium D range (820, 830, 840 and the new 9 series processors, ... ...monitors, i would recommend asking Dell to subtract it from your order, and buy a well reviewed one by PC PRO for yourself. You will not be let down by this computer! The only thing that beats it currently in my opinion, are the new Intel Core Duo processors, but these have not yet made it into a dsktop format. ...
