Advantages: Affordable, stylish laptop package for multiple usage eg, home, business, games etc..
Disadvantages: Didn't include Microsoft Word and Excel package

...under £500 including full delievery. Dell Ltd was able to answer all my problems with the Dell Inspiron 1000. It has everything i expected from a laptop. It is a cracking size and i got it all started up and set up in a jiffy. Very impressive. The offer i exploited was on the dell website, i think i paid £480, £60 of which was delievery charges (unsure whether it was actually worth £60) nevertheless this price can only come down. Advantages: Good battery life, nice screen, 3 USB Ports, nice keyboard.
Disadvantages: No serial or parallel ports, only has a touchpad.

...DVD-ROM Drive. I have had my Dell Inspiron 1000 since the beginning of January. As with all laptops I have bought I reinstalled Windows and removed all the "Recovery Partitions", then installed all the software I commonly use.
