Advantages: Many Disadvantages: Sound isn't great but that's all to whinge about
~~*~~*~~ Dell Inspiron 1525 ~~*~~*~~
Whilst the demise of any electrical object is always a sad occasion - I felt my laptop was a personal friend and thus when it developed serious motherboard malfunction, I decided that I would purchase a new friend for the old laptop (rather like obtaining a new puppy when old yellow's on his way out) and transfer the information before it was lost in the electrical ether.
The search for my new best friend ...

Advantages: Looks nice, works well, some nice added touches Disadvantages: A few build and technical issues
...know, an unusual thing with Dell is that they only sell laptops online, and all products can be fully customised to meet your specifications. For around £329 you can buy the base level specifications of an Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T1400(1.73Ghz), 2Gb RAM and a 120Gb hardrive. More than sufficient for an entry level laptop. However these specifications can be customised up to a 2Ghz processor, 4GB RAM and a massive 250Gb hardrive. This would ...

Advantages: Easy to set up and use, very reliable, good balance of features Disadvantages: Software compatibility issues
...fairly quickly settled on the Dell Inspiron 1525.
The machine had a good balance of processing power, dual-core processor for speed, well-sized screen and relative simplicity. Bearing in mind that my laptop use is pretty limited - basic internet use, the odd online game here and there, basic Word and Excel documents, etc, the Inspiron ticked every box.
The installation process was very straightforward - even for someone like me - and I was up ...

Advantages: Adjustability, Good for price, Good Battery time, the keyboard is quite nice, Disadvantages: Needs big RAM.
The Inspirion 1525
This laptop has been carefully thought of in terms of ease, there's a function on the touchpad in which you do not have to use the mouse to scroll sideways or when you're watching a movie, you don't have to use a mouse to stop/pause or forward a few chapters in the movie, you just touch this button which I assume is another touchpad also without clicking anything. Also, the laptop allows you to adjust a few things to ...

I bought the dell inspiron 1525 after a lengthly search for a laptop suitable for what i needed it for. I wanted a light, easy to use, fast laptop. And that is what i got, i praise Dell for creating such a laptop that doesn't only fullfill my original requirements, but exceeds my expetations.
The dell inspiron is one of the most easy to use laptops, which has been set out in an attractive way. Being able to choose the colour of your future laptop ...

Advantages: fast, powerful and quite cheap Disadvantages: battery Life
This is one of three Dell laptops i currently own. This is the best.
This laptop is very fast and powerful for what you pay, the intel 2-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor drives this laptop so fast. go for a large memory option when buying, svaes a lot of money in the future
Sound can distort at higher levels, grapics are bright and colours are bright.
Unlike earlier inspiron model the webcam is a good addition, Wifi seems to get a slightly ...

Advantages: Cheap, quick delivery, reasonable performance Disadvantages: Battery life is disappointing
I bought a 1525 as I needed a cheap, wireless laptop for home internet use and storage for photos and music. Ordering online was very simple, and gave the opportunity to upgrade, I ordered mine standard with only minor improvements to the memory. The computer arrived by courier just three days after ordering, so ignore the 14-28 day estimate. Set up was very quick, Microsoft Vista and Works were pre-installed, I just plugged it in and followed instructions ...

Advantages: Cheap for a laptop for under £500 looks great & lots more! Disadvantages: Battery Lead position
I got this laptop late last year (though its not just mine!) and I think it is a lot better than my old laptop (Which was also an inspiron, but obviously an older one!).
I haven't had any problems at all with it and it has improved so much!
One of the best points for me is speed! The speed of the laptop loading time is great! I hate when your waiting for so long just for your laptop to boot up so I was happy with this laptop as sson as I used ...

Advantages: Stylish, Vista, Pentium Dual Core Disadvantages: could do with more storage space
After having a desktop for 3 years, im fed up with not being able to access the internet anywhere in the flat so i bought this laptop for a change! It is much prettier in real life! I have chosen the PINK colour. I love the pink lid which is kinda shiny and smooth, and it looks so stylish! The inside is silver and looks very stylish and nice. The screen is big and so clear! It has been working really well so far, and I can carry it anywhere in the ...

...Besides that Dell threw in some really nifty looking touch sensitive keys on the top.The keyboard is a bit too much on the "Bling" side (for all the above 80s reading this it means its "Too Shiny") .
I'd recommend this laptop on the basis of price and decent looks and a slight bit on performance which is just enough for the daily average user . ...
