Disadvantages Useless Laptop that dont work

I bought this laptop from currys edge lane in liverpoolfor £599, in november 2010, three weeks ago I started to notice the the connection on the laptop that connects to the charger was becoming lose and that the charger started to fall out, I thought no problem shall take it back to currys and get it fixed, currys said, yes its a common fault we will have to send it back to DELL to get it fixed, but i have to speak to them first, I was given a premium rate number to ring at £1.50 a minute to speak to dell (money makin scheme), so anyway, the lady on the end of the phone didnt speak english and ... more

Dell Inspiron 15R; any time, any place, anyway 26/09/2010

Advantages A large memory, fast speeds, and the look and feel mean that it is great value for money
Disadvantages The size could make it awkward to carry, but otherwise there is nothing to dislike

Being on the move constantly, it makes a great deal of sense to have a laptop. You can take them around with you anywhere, and keep all the documents you will ever need at your finger tips. But the greatest problem is choosing which one to get. I chose the Dell Inspiron 15R, and I have not been made to regret it. In my opinion, this laptop looks and feels great, and it comes in a range of vibrant colours. My laptop has 250GB of memory on its hardrive and it performs well too, its 2.2GHz intel processor making it fast, and easy to use. It comes with windows 7, and a webcam option is available ... more

Advantages Amazingly good,One year free full cover warranty, brand new processor, fast speed and cool look.
Disadvantages Overall I never had any major issues with it. So thumbs up for this.

It has been a year since I purchased Dell Inspiron 15R and I found it amazingly good. I never had any major problems with it. It runs faster than few other models in the market. Something that is very much impressive about Dell company is their customer care support and free home service for one complete year after the date of purchase. One of my friends is having the same laptop. He got some issues with its hard disk and thus contacted the customer care. Advantages Runs like a dream!
Disadvantages Biased upon my own but everything was faulty

No longer would i be trudging to university for basic computer needs, like....solitaire! At first glance it had everything; stylish, portable and all the latest software. Advantages Great battery life, Great price, 250gig HD
Disadvantages Not very customizable, only 1.86ghz

I have owned and used many computers from Toshiba to HP to Dell. I can say that I am most satisfied with products such as this one offered by dell. Dell provides laptops and desktop computers of great quality whether for gaming or for business. With other computers that I have used my problem was always the lack of ram, problems occurring with overheating of the computer or terrible battery life. This computer offers fantastic battery life and great performance for the price to buy it. Advantages very stylish looking, very fast, brilliant graphics
Disadvantages quite big for compact computer

For going into 6th form (I am 16), my parents offered to buy me a laptop. I originally went looking for a green one but everywhere seemed to have sold out. I had also originally planned on getting a more expensive dell inspiron with more RAM but eventually settled on a red 15R being just under £500. I think its brilliant! The loadup speed is quick, its very easy to use technically and the HD screen is amazing. I also found that the full size keyboard was very useful as I use many music recording and making programs with often require some buttons with are usually missed off laptop keyboards. I ... more

Advantages my attractive pink cover brings a welcome splash of colour to an industry that bores me!
Disadvantages after owning it for just over a year, its beginning to slooow dooown.

I am possibly the planets biggest technophobe so for the technological details and that sort of info, just click off me! I am however in the midst of a tempestuous love affair with a dell 15R and so feel able to enlighten those of my calibre. being a 15 year old girl any laptop that can repeatedly be styled and change aesthetically was bound to reel me in. Although pricey, the covers are a fun gimmick and are worth it if you're that kind of person. I needed a computer for fun as a private, and to my work as I have my own company. It has what I wanted, and Im pleased. It looks great, it has a design a laptop should have, nice and clean, good looking. It has the comfort I wanted out of a laptop, its comfortable to work with it everywhere; Home, in the office, in the car, at airports, in hotells and even cafe shops. Light weighted and small enough. Is dell inspiron 15R worth buying 13/11/2011

Advantages good performance for a cheap price, excellent battery life
Disadvantages I could not find much disadvantage.

I recently bought this laptop Dell inspiron 15R. This laptop is available in many different configurations. My one includes a 2.26 core i5 processor, 4Gb of Ram, 320GB HDD. It looks pretty good and is available in a variety of colour ( blue, black, red and pink) and is pretty thin (1.48 inch at its thickest point) . I was truly impressed to see it play blue ray movies extremely well. The motion picture looks crisp and detailed..I was also very satisfied with the speaker's sound quality. Advantages everything is great and easy to set up
Disadvantages none really can get mucky easily but if you have a case then its fine

i was luckly enough to finally get a laptop for christmas and this is the one i got in fusia pink it is im not joking absolutely amazing i use this laptop day in and day out without failure and the features it comes with and yet a quite small laptop is good there is cd rom at the side sd card slot micro phone earphone plug in web cam with discent image light etc the colour is a bonus and the screen is kind of reflectant. to get it started and linked up to internet was easy aswell. you dont really need to charge it up that much not unless you arre a heavy laptop internet user like me overall ... more
