This dell laptop in my opinion is not very good. It has 256 random access memory and this is very poor. Also the processor which is 1.3GHz is below average causing this laptop to freeze when opening multiple objects and causing it to sometimes be very slow. My Dell latitude D600 has served me well. Its fast, reliable, smart, it has streamlined design and to be basic, it does what you want it to do. It has a medium sized hard drive of 50 GB, fast processor speed of the Intel Pentium M chip, DVD player and fantastic ATI Radeon 9000 display graphics. This laptop is much lighter than previous Latitude notebooks that i've owned like the D505. I take my Dell everywhere with me. They're light enough to carry around and take knocks well. I have not had problems with it crashing or being slow, a big improve on my last laptop. The screen is a nice size and is good enough for watching dvds on or editing pictures. It is really nice to use and i run mine off windows XP.
