Like all Dell products there are some customisebale options, eg RAM and CPU but no matter which on you go for i dont think you will be dispointed. Like most manufactures they will chuck on a load of software that you do not need and only sits there clogging memory and cpu usage, but whip this off and you are set.
This model has plenty of USB slots, built in slot for SIM card and a could wireless card.....what more do you need! ...

I have windows 2000 installed on the laptop and I would not recommend it - it can sometimes freeze and the touchpad does not do well when you are using a USB mouse, so frequent reboots are needed. I would give this particular aspect a negative. I've seen on other d630 that XP is much more reliable, so go for that. I would recommend disabling ...

I've owned this system before, its alright but once I updated to a D830 it put that system to same. Much better graphics, faster, and more reliable. Its good for kids in school to own.
