This is a good printer for home use. Backed up with Dell's world winning consumer support. It is a ALL-IN-ONE including Scanning, Printing, Copying and faxing technology. Cannot be used for heavy duty cycle. Software are little hard to control and need a good technical knowledge or frequent customer support. Best part is that you can get a good print quality and the cartridges are relatively cheaper. You can get them from the Dell Stores or Order online. You can order the printer on the Dell's website as well. Technical part is little hard to understand but, with the technical knowledge it will become easy for you. ...

...fool the machine by holding glossy paper in the feed and withdrawing it at the last minute. What a pain in the ****! Also, you cannot print borderless via other graphics software, e.g. Photoshop, but have to enter, fiddle around and print with the Dell printer software. Also a pain. ...

I bought this printer as part of a package with my new computer. The quality of the printouts is high, and the printing speed is nice and quick. The scanner and fax functions are also handy, and it produces a good quality copy. However, after a short while I was experiencing quite a few problems with the printer.
