Dell XPS M1330 = BRILLIANT

Advantages: Excellent Screen, built-in webcam, very fast, never crashed (after 1 year, that's incredible)
Disadvantages: Slightly short battery life (but can easily be upgraded for very little money)

...red color. Besides the color, Dell really took care on the design. It is just so pretty. To be honest, I don't really know about the OS and anything like that. But, as far as the speed of the laptop is concerned, it works so great! I never had any unexpected shutdown or close of a program. Since I upgraded to Windows 7, my battery life has increased, and my operating speed has sped up, so my laptop now runs at a cataclysmic speed! Thank you very ...

An amazing laptop from Dell.

Advantages: Beautiful, Fast, Sturdy, Good graphics.
Disadvantages: Heavier than some.

...had reservations about buying from Dell because I have personal experience of bad build quality from one of their earlier portable laptops, the C400. But I am more than happy with the sturdy feel of the XPS m1330. I ordered from Dell online and received my laptop within 7 days. It came in an XPS branded box. Inside was the laptop inside a slip case and the relevant accessories; power cable, earphones, manual in a leather wallet, screen cleaning ...

M1330

Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: Crashes sometimes

How do Dell keep doing this, another amazing laptop for people like me to enjoy. This laptop can have an immensive amount of RAM and Hard Drive put in to it and you can also change colour and pattern to severel differant ones. Has a security fingerprint check to get in the laptop or/and in laptop files. Now that is technology so if any one steals it they wont be able to get on it! Also is designed for storing pictures and movies and games and ...

...blu ray devices. I wish Dell could lower the price but anyways you need to spent some fortune to get a computer fully loaded with good features. One thing I noticed is the video card used on this system, I hope Dell would change the NVIDIA card installed on it because of it's known video issue. ...

A very great buy

Advantages: Reliable, long battery, very lightweight
Disadvantages: little expensive, occasional multimedia key problems

I bought this laptop back in June, 2008, as a laptop I could use for college. '''The Good''' I love it. It is extremely light weight, which makes carrying it around to classes easy. I ordered the 12 cell battery, which gives me about 5 hours of battery life. The finish it uses looks great and is easy to clean with the cloth they provide. The built in microphone and web cam are good quality for being built-in. The fingerprint reader consistently ...
...The built-in SD card reader is really convenient for quickly getting pictures off my digital camera. The computer is also robust, as I've dropped it off the bed a couple times with no damage what-so-ever. '''The Bad''' The only downside I've experienced is that the multimedia keys occasionally press themselves if the room is hot and you press them. Sometimes it keeps pressing after you let go. A quick tap on it fixes it though, and the problem ...

A featured packed lightweight laptop

Advantages: Good display, light, performs well
Disadvantages: Issue with crashing, sound

I needed a laptop which was quite small & light so I could carry it around easily but also at the same fully specked & able to carry out a number of incentive tasks at once, on paper the XPS M1330 ticked all the boxes. When I received it and opened the box, this laptop looked beautiful and was very light too. It runs speedly and you can have a number of applications open and working at once bescause of the large amount of RAM contained on board. ...
...to look at. However as well as these advantages, I have also encountered a number of disadavantage whilst owning this machine. One of these is that it sometimes seems to just hang and crash and needs a complet restart. I have also had a few problems with the sound, where there will be a sudden buzz & the sound will cut out completly for a minute or two. ...

Flawed Laptop

Disadvantages: GPU

...system and overheating. However the dell official statement is that all of the faulty GPU's have been put out of the manufacturing line, however recent firmware updates suggest otherwise. Firmware updates to the BIOS only increase the fan speed of the machine, thus cooling the chipset and GPU down. However there is a much more popular case where this scenario has happend before. The Xbox 360 red ring of death is caused by the GPU completly overheating ...
...However this laptop is free from those restrictions and dell still does not want to choose another graphics card, even if it will be a better update to a great machine. However dell has continued on with their studio XPS laptops and recitified the mistake there and not here. ...
