Advantages: Chrome finish looks fab. Good weight and quality. Would be great value if it was useable! Disadvantages: Water water everywhere (and still no coffee)
I bought the DeLonghi Ec 270 for espresso, cappuccino etc and it looks and feels great. Bought from local outlet, not best price, just like to do that for after sales service. I loved the finish and weight. It made good coffee but right from the outset water leaked copiously from the reservoir seal and flooded the worktop. After a few such floodings I assumed it to be a one-off faulty machine. At this point I was glad I had bought locally. No trouble ... ...price.....and rendered 'unfit for purpose' by one dodgy seal. Potential buyers may be advised to check with DeLonghi first to see if it is a recognized problem, and if it has now been rectified. At this point I would have gone and made myself a nice cup of coffee.........sigh ...
