Advantages Advantages Fairly straight forward to use. Produces good coffee

Disadvantages Disadvantages Making one drink can be a little bit long winded

Reading other reviews of this coffee machine opinion appeared to be mixed and at first I was dubious as to whether this was a worthwhile investment. It seemed to be agreed that any drink from an espresso machine would be far better than drinking instant coffee no matter what machine you used but whether this was the best choice seemed to be debated. One thing seemed clear, in the coffee machine market you get what you pay for. The cheaper machines produce less pressure creating a poorer final taste as the water trickles through the coffee beans rather than being pushed through. The expensive ... more

Advantages Advantages Uses pods as well as ground coffee. Good size water tank. Good steamer spout (easy to clean).

Disadvantages Disadvantages Coffee not hot enough. Drip tray not wide enough. Can't get a mug under

This coffee machine is stylish and versatile but I do have some reservations. I have this machine and a Krups at work and therefore have something to contrast it to. First the positives - it looks great, is easy for non-coffee hardcore baristas to use and versatile as you can put ground coffee, pods (of different types) and can make one or two-shot expressos. The milk frother has a clever plastic cover and valve which are easy to remove and clean and much more hygenic than a straight stainless pipe that would need scrubbing. It's also relatively cheap when you compare it to brands like a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Perfect Coffee everytime

    Disadvantages Disadvantages n/a

I bought this for my parents last Christmas ans so far there are no complaints! The coffee is perfect every time and it\'s very easy to set up and use. The best things to use are the pods as they seem to give a stronger coffee but the reason for buying this one was so that you can use normal ground coffee as well. We thought this was a great idea so that if the pods ever stopped being produced you could still use it. Also there are various pods you can buy for this coffee maker unlike some where you have to buy a specific make and they can be very costly. This is definately worth the money if ... more

Advantages Advantages style, cost, good coffee

Disadvantages Disadvantages you need the follow tip to avoid the mess!

Well I tried one of these and was pleased with the results but there is a problem. As the machine has a pressurized basket you will get a very wet filter basket. A bit like what is left in a cafetiere. I wanted something where I would tap out the ground not pour it out. After contacting the Delonghi help desk - 45 mins to get through! They said it sounded like a fault. Got a second one and the same problem. Whittards, my local high street coffee shop suggested that I release the pressure on the steam arm after producing the coffee and try a bit of a courser ground. Great! I now tap out the ... more
