    If a car shows your age, this is it. It depends when you were born as to what immediately comes to mind when you see one. For my generation, this is the car from the Back to the Future films. For my parents generation, this was the car built by the ‘drug dealing con-man’ (John DeLorean) which soaked up millions of £’s of tax payers money. Either way, the DeLorean is real, if rare, and will be around for years to come. From my perspective, the DeLorean is something that influences all aspects of life over at Mr and Mrs Parnham’s (senior) house. You see my dad is fanatical about them. He ... more

    I've owned a Delorean for three years now. Apart from a flat battery due to lack of use, I have had no mechanical or other problems with the car at all. It is not a car for recluses. It attracts more attention than anything on the road, bar nothing. It looks fantastic when clean, but it attracts muck and dirt like velcro. It is as expensive (or inexpensive) to run as any classic of similar vintage. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. In power terms, it is not fast, but it's fast enough for most driving.
