One of the many brushes I have in my hairdressing kit is the Denman 7 Row Classic Styling Brush. Denman is a big name in the hairdressing world, and they are known for their high quality items. The classic styling brush is a simple black brush, which has white bristles and a red backing to the bristles. The brush is made of a toughened plastic, and has the Denman logo printed onto the back of the brush. The handle is a decent size, which makes it easy to hold, but not so big it becomes a struggle. I find it fits perfectly into my hand, and I think this is an important part of using a hair ... more

Advantages Advantages minimises static, easy and comfortable to use, great to use when drying or straightening

Disadvantages Disadvantages doesnt totally abolish static

I have a lot of hair and it takes ages to brush, ages to dry, ages to style and after all that effort I end up looking like I have stuck my tongue in a plug socket as it becomes ridiculously static. I have found certain hair brushes to be better than others in reducing static but the other problem was that I need a hairbrush that is comfortable to use when straightening my hair. This particular brush was recommended to me by a friend who said that it would help reduce the static and would be great to use when styling. I wasn?t convinced but headed to the hair care section the next time I was ... more

When it comes to having a decent hairbrush I like to know it is not going to fall apart easily. I had a Denman brush a few years back and loved it, recommended by my hairdresser and I used it all the time as they are great for blow drying hair with and styling. However, I used the hairdryer too close to the brush and stupidly overheated the bristles so they were curved. It did last a little while longer but I then got another not so branded brush after that lost bristles all of the time and didn’t get as good a grip on hair so was very happy to get a Denman brush for Christmas. APPEARANCE The ... more

    Advantages Advantages Pure quality!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not at all. it's simply brill

When it comes to hairbrushes they're really not something I go out of my way to buy. I mean me, well I got a hairbrush free with a hair-drier at Christmas and then I bought a make up bag with one in and that type of thing. It's very rare for me to buy a brush or comb unless I really need to and to my memory that has only happened twice in my life...once when going into hospital and the other time on the way to swimming and realising I had forgotten said comb/brush on route! However my mate Liz raves about Denman hair brushes and me...well I know they're rather expensive and wouldn't dream of ... more

We have had our Denman Pink Base Classic Styling Hair Brush with weighted handle now for a couple of years. We have owned many different hair brushes over the years but we always find that Denman are the ebst as they are suitable for all types of hair and are sturdy and long lasting products who symbolise quality. Our Denman Pink Base Classic Styling Hair Brush is quite light in weight and easy to use and manipulate for all sorts of hair textures and styles. My other half has very long hair down past her waist and she ties it back during the day while she is singing but lets it down and ... more

Advantages Advantages Creates nice hair styles

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not anti-static as it suggests, expensive

There are soooo many different hair brushes out there that it gets confusing as to which ones are good and which ones aren't. I have to admit that i found this hairbrush very disappointing. I have very wavy and quite frizzy hair that i straighten alot and i wanted a hairbrush that would eliminate static and create a smooth style and i thought this was the hairbrush for me. The hairbrush itself is quite expensive at just over £6 but it is made of a high quality, with a soft rubber pad base, rounded bristles and a weighted handle and is meant to be anti-static. I dont know if its just my hair or ... more
