    Advantages Advantages Picture, rugged build quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the best CD player at this money

    I have owned this unit for 18 months during which it has proved to be solid and reliable throughout. This unit is considered to be mid-priced and hence a lot is expected of it. As a non-HD player offering the full range of upscaling, picture quality is superb and when connected to my Sony KDL-46X2000 TV, one has to sometimes question the additional cost of blueray DVDs. Sound quality is also excellent for a machine which, at this price has to deliver a lot for the money. An HDMI interconnect is a must if you want the best delivery and I use a QED QUNEX HDMI-P cable to fit the bill. As a CD ... more

    This dvd player has won so many awards in What HiFi, that I had to demo it. As soon as I saw it, I bought it. Fantastic quality with a HDMi output as well. Fully scaleable picture to 720 and 1080dpi. It was bought as part of a complete Home cinema a/v system, and fits in perfectly with everything that I have. It has played everything that i have thrown at it with ease, including photo CD's and multiple region DVD's. When outputted to a decent amp (another Denon) the sound quality is superb.
