I have had 'problem skin' since ..... ooooo, feels like always. When I reached 27 years of age, and noticed my first grey hair and wrinkles, I railed against the fact and demanded to know .... HOW COULD I START AGING AND STILL HAVE SPOTS?? My local hair salon imported a wonderful beautician by the name of Julie. Trained in the dermalogica way of things, she and the products she smears on me on a fortnightly basis really have changed my life. I no longer consider myself to have acne and have started looking myself straight in the eye first thing in the morning without flinching (and how many of ... more

HOW I DISCOVERED DERMALOGICA PRODUCTS Over 10 years ago, I was lucky enough to be a winner in a competition where the prize was a free facial and massage at a local beauty salon. To double the delight, a friend of mine also entered that competition and won the same prize. So, off we went together for a joint appointment! Neither of us had treated ourselves like this before. The whole experience was so mentally uplifting and so luxurious it didn't seem real. The two therapists introduced us to the Dermalogica range, which we hadn't heard of before. It was so long ago that I cannot remember the ... more

Advantages Advantages Effective, economical, doesn't irritate

Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive - but worth it

I'd never considered Dermalogica until I had a facial at one of the salons. The Microfoliant was one of the products they gave me to sample. The range is very much focused on effective, natural ingredients which don't irritate. They keep preservatives to a minimum, and they're not perfumed - most of the products do smell good but that's because of the various plant-based ingredients. The look of the packaging is very clean - almost clinical - with grey-and-white packs. I'd never regularly used an exfoliant and wasn't keen - my skin is very sensitive and scrubbing at it with a gritty paste did ... more

I have extremely dry skin due to having excema and finding a good facial moistriser has been mt holy grail! I've tried a number of different brands including clinique and elizabeth arden but so far this has come out on top. Dermalogica products have been developed by the international dermal institute and are non-comedogenic (pore blocking). The ingredients include no occlusive mineral oil, lanolin, artificial colors or fragrance, and no S.D. alcohol. This means they are suitable for even extremely sensitive skin. Dermaologia products are only available through beuticians and on the internet ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive, doesnt work

I am an 18 year old male and although i dont consider myself to have severe acne, my skin is spot prone and looks pretty bad at times especially in winter, i suppose this is mostly due to my age and might have something to do with a fast food addiction and a phobia of vegetables i had as a youngster, anyway i have been looking for a product to help my skin for several months now and i have had bad experiences with several other products from different companies. I was first interested in tryin a dermalogica product when i heard that they dont advertise and instead try to gain recognition by ... more

Advantages Advantages Great for sensitive skin

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Price

I bought this product after being recommended it by a friend and it is definately worth the £15 price tag! It is a cleanser for face and eyes and aimed specifically at sensitive skin. It comes in a 237 ml / 8 oz bottle and has a push top opening so you don't need to faff about with screw tops. This is a very gentle (thickish) cleansing gel/cream, that can either be rinsed off or removed with tissue / cotton wool or a damp cloth. It is very effective at removing make up (even eye make-up and mascara although I'm not sure about waterproof mascara as I don't wear it). It's aimed at sensitive / ... more

I have been using Demalogica as my primary facial products now for about 6 months. It is not readily available, but its easy to buy from the websites that stock it. I have tried nearly all the products and have only been dissappointed by the one, but that was because it was just not suitable for my skin. They are supplied in white plastic bottles with grey lids and writing, nothing to write home about, but the product inside makes up for it. The cleansers are supplied in two sizes, the 437ml size and a 237ml size. I must say though that the Anti Bac Skinwash, didnt suit me at all, it left me ... more

I have always had, well, what i think is called combination skin. I got my fair share of spots, had dry patches, oily patches etc etc. Basically, you name it, i have had it to some degree. Then about a year ago, I discovered the dermologica range. I now own almost all of it. The added cost is probably balanced out by the length of time the product lasts. As for the results, my skin is healthier looking, less oily or dry, and I get far fewer spots, although obviously, there are times of the month when i get at least one gigantic one, but with the special clearing booster I get rid of them ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Dermalogica Skincare Range by caroline1110 06/06/2008
The Dermalogica Skincare range have absolutely fantastic products. I would never choose anything else. Dermalogica have a product that will suit every skin type. I have always had very sensitive, oily, red skin and have tried every well known skincare range. After filling out a couple of questions about my skin type on the Dermologica website I was then adviced to use the combination range by Dermalogica. It has been fantastic for me. That was over a year ago and I know I will never need to try another range again, Dermologica is great, I have converted most of my friends ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Dermalogica Skincare Range by JoPooley 05/06/2008
My 9 year old daughter has had eczema since birth. She continues to use steroid cream for the patches that flare up but is quite insistant that Dermalogica is the best emolliant/moisturising body cream she has ever used. I must admit, I can't argue with her, her skin that was once dry & rough to touch is now silky smooth... I would definately recommend this product to others with dry skin problems
