Making stuff smell of apples keeps the doctor away

Advantages: Kills Germs, smells nice
Disadvantages: Limited uses

...a while. I got this Dettol Disinfectant Spray, because I am lazy, and it looked easy and smells of apples, and she got the Dettol in a bottle variety. ------------~*What is it?*~------------- It is an aerosol can full of dettol. You simply spray it on things and wait for it to dry, which it does within a minute or two. It's so easy to use, I sprayed it on everything. I sprayed the desk, I sprayed everything in the bathroom. I sprayed the phone, ...
...them with this spray, and Dettol everything they touch so you don't catch it. ---------~*Cleaning Effects*~-------- Since you just spray it and wander off, it doesn't actually do anything about visible dirt. This is something that simply kills germs, so if you have an actual dirty house, you need to clean first, and then spray this to kill the germs. For this reason, I'm not actually sure how long it lasts. I assume it lasts until the next lot ...

I'd prefer a mini version!

Advantages: Great smell and promises to kill lots of germs and viruses.
Disadvantages: The size of the can and the price!

~ Packaging and Price ~ This comes in a chunky, cylindrical aerosol spray can. Given that this is the apple fragrance the top section is suitably ‘attired’ in apple green. It is dispensed via an easy to reach press-down spray nozzle but for those of you interested in the safety of little hands getting hold of it, it doesn’t have an off / on option as so many other disinfectants have nowadays! The 300ml spray can is currently priced at: Tesco ...
...a while ago on special offer, as is usually the case for me when trying new products! ~ What does it promise? ~ • Can help protect your family from illness by preventing the spread of harmful bacteria and viruses such as salmonella, E coli, Listeria, Herpes etc. • Kills 99.9% of germs in 30 seconds on surfaces. ~ How to use it ~ Shake the can before using and then hold it 15 – 20cm from the pre-cleaned surface. Spray the surface until covered ...

Are the germs dead?

Advantages: Kills germs FAST!!
Disadvantages: None since I can't see the germs!

...300ml aerosol can with the Dettol logo, a sword and apples(???) on the front. That's because the flavour/smell is green apples! The instructions are on the back, and there are lots of those, along with lots of promises and information. The only thing I would say initially about this is that it would be relatively simple for a child to start spraying this as it does not come with a safety nozzle, but rather you just put your finger in the grooves, ...
...The reason I like this is the smell. I don't know about it smelling of apples but it does have a very clean and fresh smell without smelling of disinfectant, which is what I thought it would smell of, it being dettol THE PROMISE Kills 99.9% of germs in 30 seconds. It states that the germs it kills are: Salmonella, E Coli, Campylobacter, Athlete's Foot Fungus, Staph and Listeria, Rhinovirus (leading cause of the common cold) Rotavirus (leading cause ...

Is this telephone sanitary?

Advantages: Kills 99.9% of germs in 30 seconds
Disadvantages: Expensive. Is it really necessary?

...home with a can of Dettol Disinfectant Spray. He paid £2.89 for a large 300ml can, with the familiar green lozenge with the Dettol name and sword logo on the front. WHAT DOES IT DO? It claims that in 30 seconds it will kill 99.9% of germs on household surfaces. These include (as listed on the can) … * Bacteria and fungi: salmonella; E coli; campylobacter; athlete’s foot fungus; staph and listeria. * Viruses: rhinovirus (the leading cause of ...
...you that it works! But Dettol is an established name in household disinfectants and has the royal seal of approval – and if it is good enough for the Queen, surely it must be good enough for me … HOW DO YOU USE IT? After cleaning the surface in the normal way, cover the surface with a mist of spray and allow it to dry. Although the can warns not to use the spray on polished surfaces, I sprayed a few different things such as plastic mats, metal ...

The spray that takes it away

Advantages: It is cheap and it works
Disadvantages: there is to much sent to choose from

...out and scrubbed it with dettol 4-1 disinfectant and then i used liquid soap powder. That got rid of the vomit but the smell was still there so i used dettol 4-1 disinfectant spray on the car and gave it another scrub but that worked for a little while. I then left it to dry out over night i thought i would give everything time to dry and then maybe the smell would go. So i woak up at 4am to put all the seats and the car seats back in. And to my ...
...me spray it with the Dettol disinfect spray i had in the car to spray their tables in the back. It was the original sent nothing fancy. But would you believe it it got rid of the smell for ever i could not believe all that scrubbing all that spraying and the dettol disinfectant spray worked. Very handy

Advantages: Quite a few
Disadvantages: Does it work????

Normally I would not have bothered with something like this but we got it free in a "Potty Pack" actually it was not free as the pack cost us £10.00. However I am reliably informed that it cost £2.89. Obviously because we bought a potty pack it means that we have one of those messy creatures called a baby/toddler (Tom). Now I too have see all those adds with the mother spraying a ball before she allows the kids to play with it or spraying the telephone ...
...both patronising and worring at the same time. No we don't want our kids to catch other peoples germs or eat off a high chair tray that has the same amount of germs as a hoover bag but we also want to "get a life". My usual method of dealing with any of lifes yukkies is a spray bottle with a mix of Domestos and water and yet I have to admit to a sneaky sense of satisfaction with this spray. It has a very light touch so it is no effort just to give ...
