    Digitalspy is what I would describe as the perfect Haven for any media techheads out there! The people that run Digitalspy (DS from here on in) are just pure fans of digital media, and as far as I am concerned they do a flippin’ good job too! The site is located at www.digitalspy.co.uk Upon entry to DS you’re presented with a very nice white and royal blue screen, with a simple, easy to read layout.     I first came across digital spy about 4 years ago now and I have been on it regularly since! Digital spy is like a news website, with all the gossip on celebrities, soaps, other tv programmes such as britains got talent and music. They are very up to date, and regularly have breaking news as soon as the sun for example have it. The section I love the most is the soaps part. It has a detailed description of each episode for all the soaps, corrie, eastenders and hollyoaks etc. I always want to know what is happening, I can never wait until the next episode, and you get a good few weeks of ... more

    Advantages Advantages Brilliantly made, well maintained, superb news from all aspects of digital media, great online community/forum

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can there be too much of a good thing? If so then that's the disadvantage

    For my first review I choose DigitalSpy. www.DigitalSpy.co.uk is fast becoming a national institution. The site, seemingly through word-of-mouth, has become one of the most popular Digital Media information sites on the net. Neil Wilkes and James Welsh run a tight ship along with their friends who staff DigitalSpy (DS) for nothing and provide an invaluable free service for nearly 50,000 members plus anyone else who wishes to wander around.     DigitalSpy.co.uk is a website featuring media news, gaming news, entertainment news, a forum and more! The gaming section is fairly new. And since its a media site and not gaming site, i don't expect anything good from it really, as i visit digital spy for media and entertianment news, also for a chat in the forums ;-) There media news is updated daily (usally, if there is media news!) and entertainment daily also.     The main site itself is pretty decent if you want to read all about the latest gossip on a soap star, follow big brother or care about anything media related. I personally prefer the forum where debates can rage on for days. The site suffers from slowdowns and downtime quite a bit at the moment, although I suspect this is due to demand. Hopefully someone can sort this out soon though. Most members are decent people, although there's a handfull of trolls that get banned and rejoin that try to spoil it for everyone.     It is a good web site with plenty of information and I liked the message board or forum the most. There I can chat with others, as well as get helpful information with any problems I was encountering. However, here lately I cannot get in as if the web site disappeared all together. I had some other folks also try the URL and they too cannot get in.
