My experiance of Directline is this I took out a policy with them and as a result of a fire at the begining of september 2003 I had to make a claim. The oridginal customer service person could not comprehend the fact that the fire brigade and council requested scaffolding to keep the building upright and as a result it was uninhabitable due to being completely gutted. I would recommend Direct Line Home Insurance to anyone who would listen. Last year, we were unfortunate enough to be burgled on Christmas Day whilst out visiting relatives. As you can image, I was devastated and wanted to get everything back to normal as soon as possible. I rang Direct Line on Boxing Day still very upset and they were brilliant.
