...of one hoover - The Dirt Devil DD6114 Upright Vacuum Cleaner. DD6114 is classic Dirt Devil colour, bright red with black attachments. It is a pretty basic cleaner with hose attachment and upholstery brushes as you would get on a standard machine. There is a gauge on the front to adjust your hoover for different carpet thicknesses. I am currently using a glued together Dyson, whilst waiting for an engineer to return my second Dirt Devil, although I would just prefer a refund! ...ended up with was a Dirt Devil DD9002.
Opinion on Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners seems to vary dramatically, it would seem people either love them or hate them (a bit like Marmite but with more suction power!)
Dirt Devil ‘Rascal’ hand vacuuming units are well known and I’ve always found them really reliable, but I hadn’t realised that Dirt Devil make full sized machines.
Of course the old adage ‘You get what you pay for’ certainly comes into play ... ...but they are even more dull than the filter stuff so not worth recounting here.
That’s all there is to it really. It’s a cheap and cheerful machine retailing at around £78. Mine came from Argos but they are widely available.

...had a great offer on. Dirt Devil MVP swivel glide Vacuum M086420 for $179 (£115). The best part of this deal included a free Dirt Devil corded hand vac worth $39 (£25). We jumped with delight and purchased it immediately.

It has a 12 amp. motor, much better than our last one. The swivel caster wheels are great for turning and twisting. It gets into corners and around furniture easily. It also has a headlight for getting ...

...a good thing! Dirt Devil® Ultra This is a very handy little vacuum because you can take it wherever you go inside the home or in your vehicle. In fact we have two of them. (I really did some cleaning to have found both of them!) One will stay in my Blazer so that when I am visiting somewhere and need something to do I can always clean it out! Or, if one of the children makes a mess I can use it for that purpose as well. I would suppose that it is ... ...the power of their original Dirt Devil® hand vac. It has a built in stretch hose and crevice tool. The hose will stretch for easy clean up in sofa’s, chairs and loveseats. The crevice tool is useful for cleaning in those hard to reach places in your furniture or vehicle. But be careful and don’t pull the hose to far, you can cause it to crack over time! There is a revolving brush for deep cleaning with a 2-speed switch with an extra long ...

...decided to go for a Dirt Devil. Besides it looked nice. Hmmm.Bad move. WHAT IS IT LIKE
Lovely red colour, quite tall with a circular see- through canister on the front that you take off to empty when it gets full. Quite wide flat front. The expanding hose comes up from a socket at the bottom and winds over a little handle at the back, and then plugs in at the other side. When you want to use the hose and attachments to reach things or places to ... ...to it. Sounds funny but as soon as you see it you know how it works. It's not particularly noisy when you use it- so that's quite good..It doesn't get right up close to the skirting boards when you use it either and that's quite important for me -budgie seed tends to fall down between the carpet and the skirting boards. Use the hose to do this and it picks the stuff up. (sometimes)

Advantages: Small (good for small home), cheap. Disadvantages: Only picks up well with new bag; cable too short; hose slips out easily; bags not available on high street.
We bought the Dirt Devil DD2420 for about £28 in our local supermarket. Our old vacuum cleaner had died, and having a small flat with almost no storage space we wanted power but not size. We recognised that you get what you pay for, but decided to give it a trial anyway. The DD 2420 is a small cylinder cleaner that has tiny dust bags. These are not cheap, at I think around £5 per pack costing about the same as the much, much bigger bags for our old ... ...delighted as it picked up dirt much better than our previous machine. A ferocious little sucker, in fact. However the disadvantages of having tiny bags soon became clear, as cleaning efficiency dropped rapidly as the bag took on dust. As I hoovered on other problems made themselves known. Firstly, the cable is relatively short - I have to use an extension lead to reach everywhere. Secondly, there is an irritating little fault in the design of the ...

...did not apply to the Dirt Devil Vacuum Cleaner that we purchased last year.
On perusing the many makes, models and styles available at Comet, we decided to opt for a cheap replacement for our upright hoover.
The model we opted for matched our old style. An upright.

The Featherlite is a good description for this hoover. ... ...when it is full of dirt and dust, it increases further. However, it is a very noisy hoover which negates any advantage made by the weight.
One of its useful features is that it carries all of its attachments on the rear of the hoover. The stair cleaning attachments, brushes, etc are all easily stored in the corresponding compartments on the back.
This becomes handy when you need to change one of the ends and you dont want to go rooting through the ...

...So let's talk about this dirt devil then!
I was given the dirt devil as a great present from my mother. When I moved in with Steve we didn't have a Vacuum cleaner and we couldn't afford to get one so mother dearest felt sorry for me and ordered one for us.She also got us a three year guarentee with the cute little thing...Isn't that sweet of her :)

When opening the box I find that the Vac is quite good looking. And no by saying that it does not mean I have any unusual fetishes! It is purple in colour and it looks quite stylish. Not bad I thought for £80.It was ordered from littlewoods the catalogue but I'm pretty sure you can get it in most electrical stores.
It was fairly easy to assemble but with me and Steve being ...

...our Hoover and bought a Dirt Devil because it was much smaller and easier to use.
We bought it from London Drug Store where we always buy our electrical things. We did not look at any other Vacuum Cleaners because I had my heart set on a Dirty Devil. The Model we bought was the "Ultra Model 8230".
Our Dirt Devil is red and made of a high impact plastic. This Model is a small hand held one. It comes with a 4-amp motor, the cord is about twenty inches ... ...well and took up the dirt near our patio door and under our dinning room table.
Then I decided to use the hose and that's when I had a problem. The hose kept falling out. My Husband had to attach it a few times for me. Each time I changed the edge the hose fell off.
MR. C. was a bit angry with me so he showed me how to use the hose. It worked well for him. That's when one of his chores became doing the vacuuming! To take the brush out you have ...

For less than £30 the Dirt Devil hand held mains vacuum cleaner and Tools comes in very useful. When there are stairs to be cleaned then you could do worse than to buy this little machine. To clean the stairs this can be plugged in at the bottom and then reach the top and ... ...useful when there is an awkward corner. My stairs have never looked as clean before and it is a lot easier than using a standard vacuum cleaner and balancing it on the stairs.

...so when I saw the Dirt Devil in a local store I bought one because I knew the name and thought it would be reliable.
I was initially very impressed with the appearance and suction. It was only used in the bedrooms & bathroom but very soon seemed to lose its suction power. When the wheel was replaced I resumed cleaning as usual ... ...hear a strange noise followed by the whole casing glowing red. I turned it off at the wall socket and watched the smoke rise into the air as I said goodbye.
It was a bit of a problem to use because the head needed to be used at a certain angle but considering I hadn't even filled a second bag in the 5 months I had it I don't think this is a very reliable cleaner to buy. I don't even have any pets or children living at home so I cannot understand ...

Advantages: Small portable vacuum ideal for samll spaces and tight stowage Disadvantages: Fiddle to fit flexible long reach hose
Advantages: Compact, powerful and effective
Simple to use and easy to stow, we keep one of these handy little gadgets on the boat. Where electric power is available its so much easier than the traditional dustpan and brush.

The dust trap bag fits simply onto the back of the motor with a rubber collar and is very easy to fit and remove. It also has the advantage of collapsing down to filled capacity which is very useful for stowing in tight or awkward places.
Emptying is simplicity itself. You merely remove the dustbag, turn it inside out and shake. ...
