In short - dont bother! The whole experience has been the worst I have ever had to suffer. After 5 months, we are still going through the pain of a bathroom installation that was supposed to take 5-7 days after delivery of the goods.

Quick review of Dolphin Bathrooms
i am self employed bathroom fitter i done a 3 day induction course from dolphin 6 out of the ten that attended the course got through only 3 could tile and plumb and plaster. they send you a (con)tract to install a bathroom you turn up and it is totaly difrent they epxect you to work for wat you wat you earn in a day for a week i got the first job that i went to. off the customer because dolphin had mesed him around so much i saved him 3 grand and made the going rate.
(DONT BY FROM DOLPHIN MOST OF THER CONTRACTORS ARE CRAP AND THEY ARE WELL OVER PRICED). ...

Advantages: Hard to find any... Disadvantages: Slow, unhelpful, poor quality
...and decided to go with Dolphin bathrooms, nice looking, attractive, modern bathrooms, that although were expensive looked worth the expense - big mistake!!
We were originaly told it would take 10 to remove all the old furnishing, fit and plumb the new stuff and then dispose of all the old bits.
The first day came and the problems started from there....
a - 3 days the guy didnt turn up, the original fitter was replaced by dolphin after a week (they ... ...we didnt want to employ dolphin any further), within 6 months the sink and bath plugs had started to rust, and now we are having problems with serious loud noises coming from our shower.
Again we are not going to dolphin to sort this due to a complete lack of service once theyve completed the fitting so it is at cost to us to sort this problem out.
Oh and to stop people refusing to pay for the awful service you receive you must pay the total balance ...

Advantages: there isnt any Disadvantages: exspensive, unprofessional bodgers.
...warning stay away from the dolphin bathrooms group for eg moben kitchens !!!! It took 11 days first time round went with out bath/shower for this time, without toilet for 24 hours, Dolphin advertise to be specialists and they certainly are not this.
I would recommend that you hand pick your installers for each part of the job, i so wish we had.

...suffered at the hands of Dolphin Bathrooms. By publicising our experiences perhaps we can hopefully deter future customers and eventually put this bunch out of business. Their trading procedure is such that you hand over the balance of the full cost of purchase and installation prior to the actual installation taking place. You are then at their mercy! They have your money and you have no bathroom!
My installation commenced eight weeks ago and it ... ...the work was appallingly inept. Numerous water leaks resulted culminating in our kitchen ceiling falling in. Just about everything he did was shoddy and it took us several pleading phone calls and faxes to eventually get him replaced by someone who knew what they were doing. Now that the work is about 90% complete the fitters have cleared off to their next job leaving us with an unfinished bathroom.
My recommendation to anyone thinking of buying ...

We signed a contract with Dolphin for a new bathroom in April and we are still waiting for it in October. They finally delivered the fittings two weeks ago (which looks great in the middle of my sitting room!!) with a promise of a call back for a fitting date within 24 hours. Still waiting for that call. I leave a message with them 2-5 times a day - seem to be too busy to return my call. Very clever of them to give a big discount for using the financing ...

Advantages: None that I can see Disadvantages: Inaccessible and unsafe bathroom resulting in major building repair work. Very expensive mistake.
Advised that Dolphin were experienced in installing quality assistive bathrooms and were market leaders and we needed accessible bathroom facilites at home that social services could not provide for several months, so we contacted Dolphin. The bathroom designed and fitted was not accessible, and was very unsafe to use. The toilet and unsafe handrail had to be moved to an accessible position across the room be able to reach it. Social services carers ... ...£10,000 no after sales service. Dolphin have offered to fix the shower unit as they neglected to do this on the last two visits, but will only repair the pipe sealed between the floor and ceiling and replace the ceiling at our cost. Advantages: A long standing reputable company providing a complete bathroom installation Disadvantages: No price guides on internet website and CIAO reviews indicate product too expensive
...dropped through our letterbox offering Dolphin showers at half price.
We measured up our bathroom and took digital photographs and thought we would be able to send these to Dolphin for some ideas and prices.
The Dolphin website had no facilities to send an email with this information and one could only request a brochure or request a visit.
There were no catalogue prices or indications of the approximate cost of sample installations and so I had ... ...I have protection in case of failure of the Company or poor workmanship the only way I would pay money up front to an installation company is through a credit card.
Dolphin will therefore not get my business.
Now to read comparative prices and reviews for B&Q installations!!!!! ...

Dont get a bathroom suite from B&Q. Their products are cheap tat designed to appeal to diy'ers who know no better. I have been installing bathrooms and kitchens for 17 years and would NEVER fit the rubbish that they sell for any amount of money.

Advantages: On price and quality? None. Disadvantages: Very high price, not the promised better quality, poor after sales.
First off my review is based on working for the company in a managerial position. The prices are very high because of the huge overhead costs not the material costs. The labour costs are high, however they are where ever you go if your going to do the job properly. In head office the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. There is little communication between departments and little thought for the customer once your money has been paid ... ...this stuff, i could get the same from B&Q and do it for half the price". Now I had no problem with the price of the bathrooms as long as the customer was looked after as promised but sadly i was plagued with calls as were designers with complaints. So high price low quality and despite protests from the MD that she wants to put the "customer first" from start to finish, most of the people she continues to employ dont care two hoots about the customer. ...

If you want a cheap bathroom: 1.draw 1000 from bank
2. go to b+q, pick a suite and try to fit it in car
3. take suite home unpack check for damage
4.return damaged/incorrect materials
5.pick up yellow pages and find a 'cheap plumber'
6.pick up yellow pages and find a 'cheap tiler'
7.pick up yellow pages and find a 'cheap plasterer'
8.pick up yellow pages and find a 'cheap ... ...10.pick up a pen/paper - ring all of the above and arange a time conveiniant for both partys to look at, and qoute the job
11.unless you work from home ring your boss and arange time off work to sort the above because trades are booked up theese days.
12. arange a date for delivererys to be delivered (you will have to be in, so get some more time off work)
