It was my birthday the other day, and I got DKNY woman perfume as a gift from my sis....This year I wrote a wish list for my birthday, and handed it over to my hubbie to coordinate. I had been after the DKNY (Donna Karan, New York) fragrance for absolutely ages, after smelling a tester in Boots - I HAD to have it! Luckily my fiance brought the 30ml Energizing Eau De Parfum for christmas - so as you can imagine, I was really pleased!!! Thats exactly how tall this bottle is - 9 inches (bet that puts quite a few of you lads to shame!!!). ...The DKNY acronym stands for Donna Karan New York. Like alot of perfume manufactuers, DKNY first started as a fashon label and moved into the perfumery market. This is DKNY's first frangrance for women (brought out in 2000) and I think they did a damn good job! The bottle is tall and slender and is in the shape of a diamond. I have this perfume and the body lotion as well, and I ADORE THEM! It's very distinctive, and refreshing with a citrus rush to it, but not harsh - very energising! DKNY. The new perfume. have to say...it's delicious! Quite different from other perfumes I own (Romance by Ralph Lauren or Obsession by Calvin Klein etc) this is a fresh and fruity delight. According to the (trusty?) saleswoman, this perfume was inspired by the good old Vodka and Orange. Although that's not what immediatly springs to mind when you smell it. I have loved this perfume for months now but have been reluctant to buy it as I tend to go off fragrances once I've bought them. Instead I have been squriting it on every time I go into Debenhams. Until recently there was only a large size bottle available but I've just discovered a smaller one for only £19. My opinion on this brand is that it is a lovely choice for clothes lovers and the quality is fantastic. I would reccomend DKNY to people who don't always do the best to look stunning but try anyway. DKNY is a smart design label and has a a wide range of casual clothes. I got brought DKNY Woman as a Birthday present about two years ago and now I always make sure I have a bottle around somewhere, although I don't use it every day. It has a fresh, citrusy smell to it and is definetly very summery, and bright, if a perfume can be described in such a way. The bottle is tall and narrow with very little detail, except a small and almost transparent 'DKNY' sign at the bottom. The packaging for the bottle is the same, ...
...sign. I find this perfume to be perfect for day time and casual use, but I tend to wear something a little stronger for night time use. It lasts long enough, with a reapplication needed perhaps around halfway through the day - spray a little in your hair and you wont need to do this though! The only disadvantage to this perfume is the nozzle! I don't know if it's just me, but I'm on my third bottle now and the two bottles before that's nozzles ...
