Dove Moisturising Cream Bar Beauty Soap When it comes to keeping ourselves clean, soap bars have been used for generations & over time soap has changed, rather than hard bars that were originally released, soap became softer, & much more of a pleasure to use. I think that every household uses soap, at least 1 or 2 bars a month. In my house, we use all different soap brands. Normmally mine is the cheapest of the lot, not as expensive as a £1 Nivea Bar Twin Packs, or nowhere near as the price of Mums L'Occitane! Instead, mine is normally 11p TESCO Everyday Value Soap, or Wilko Cream Beauty Soap ... more

Advantages Advantages Moisturises and cleanses skin, very soft and mild

When it comes to soap, I can't say I'm fussy. I will tend to use whatever happens to be in the bathroom at the time, and up until now, have had no real preference towards one particular brand. But that was until my mum bought a pack of Dove Cream Bar soap...I can now confidently say that I am a convert to the Dove brand. BACKGROUND INFORMATION Dove soap is made in Germany by Unilever. The Dove range is actually quite extensive and, in addition to soap, you can buy other bathroom products such as cream bath, conditioner, body wash, handwash and deodorants. PACKAGING Each soap bar comes in its ... more

I'm not really a fan of soap, preferring face wash and shower gel, but I do keep some around for washing my hands. Also, other people seem to like it. Sick of seeing the adverts for Dove and their miraculous claims, I thought I'd give it a try as my hands have started to go a bit dry lately and the fruity vegetable oil soaps I used to use weren't helping. Dove soap is pure white in colour, very soft in texture and has a gorgeous flowery, powdery smell that isn't overpowering. You can also get a sensitive version with hardly any perfume at all. It's a very appealing shape, a sort of bendy ovoid ... more

When it comes to a choice of a quick shower or a long hot soak in the bath, the bath wins every time. A busy mum and op reader'', this is MY time and I like as much pleasure as possible (dont even go there). The product that gives me this pleasure is Dove Cream Bar (soap to you and I). I found it just sitting on the shelf in Tesco crying "buy me", how could I refuse. Price ----- Now this product comes in three ways. You can buy them in packs of 4 for £1.75 or 2 for £0.89 or on their own for £0.49. They are alittle more expensive than other soaps. Compared to Cussons mild cream £0.99 for 4 or ... more

Well I have extolled the virtues of Dove deodorants, both roll on and spray, and the moisturising body wash but there is one more product in the Dove range that I love and that’s Dove soap! To call it by its correct name it is actually Dove Cream Bar, but its a soap to the likes of you and me, albeit a luxurious soap. Lever Faberge of London distributes the Dove range, which is actually made in Germany, and there is a freepost address on each product in case there’s a problem that necessitates contact in writing. Dove Cream Bar like all the other Dove products in one quarter ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit messy!

Dove soap has been a favourite of mine for quite a few years now, and has been around longer than many people think. Recently the Dove phenomenon has reached new levels as shower gel, moisturiser and hair products have also been added to its impressive collection of beauty products. That said, Dove soap is the original grandfather of them all and rightly so! The white oval shaped bar is said to contain ¼ moisturising cream, which is in contrast to normal bar soaps which can be very drying on the skin, as most do not contain any specific moisturising properties. However, I do not use this soap ... more

I never ever use soap on my face and I never have done from being a very young woman, I usually only use soap on my body or hands and I love this soap because it is just a gorgeous feeling on my skin and a brand of which I just love so much. Dove have been around for quite some time and make lots of lovely products and ones that I just love buying on a regular basis. This soap comes in a cardboard box, the box is attractive and not basic looking, it is quite eye catching. Once the box has been opened, the smell is very apparent immediately and the fragrance is a nice perfume smell but not too ... more

Whilst I was having a shower at my other half’s house I was not impressed to see that there was no shower gel! As I looked around the bathroom I just couldn’t see anything to wash with and then out of the corner of my eye I spotted this dove moisturising cream. When I first saw the moisturising bar my initial impressions were “oh no”. I really do not like washing with soap, I would go as far to say that I absolutely hate it. Soap has a tendency to dry my skin out and I do not like the feel of it against my skin. However I decided I would give it a go as it was Dove and they are known to be ... more

PACKAGING This comes in a lovely little cardboard box which is also recyclable, on the front you will see the dove signature written in blue and an image of a gold Dove below it. On the back there is a very long list of all the different places in the world where this is made and the required numbers for if you want to contact them. Then theres a big list of ingredients too, the ingredients and contact numbers are all listed on the back of the box. Dove manages to use very little coloring and still make a very fancy looking box. Ordinarily a plain white box with blue on it would not attract my ... more

Ok, I have to admit something from the start and get my feelings out there to the world , I love you Dove. Now I don't want to go all gooey as you certainly don't. I apologise for that episode when my 2 year old left you submerged in the bath water but you held strong. That's what I need in my life right now ~ a soap that will stand the test of time and be in it for the long-haul. I love that you are made of 1/4 moisturising cream so that you don't dry out my skin like all the other soaps have done in the past. You clean me up nicely and even manage to remove the grease, grime and dirt from my ... more
