Advantages Advantages Great taste, lots of fizz, lovely with ice, recyclable bottle.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lots of sugar, not very refreshing.

Dr Pepper is a soft drink that has been a recognised drink since 1885 and is available in several different varieties in the United States, however, I have only ever seen the original version in the United Kingdom and this is the one that I am reviewing. The product is available in several sizes: 250ml, 330ml, 500ml, 1.5l & 2l and I usually seem to buy the 500ml bottles as these are very handy for carrying on the move. The 500ml bottle is the one that I have and it's just a standard plastic bottle (can be recycled where facilities exist - 90% of the UK at present) which is clear and has a ... more

What Is It Dr. Pepper is a ‘sparkling fruit-flavour soft drink’ made by the coca-cola company. It was first served in 1885 and introduced nationally in the United States in 1904 as a new kind of soft drink. It comes in 330ml cans, 500ml bottles and 2L bottles. There is also a diet version called Dr. Pepper Zero. The packaging of Dr. Pepper is instantly recognisable, a dark red colour with what looks like splash marks and the name of the drink in white writing. The cans are entirely red and the bottles just have red labels. Ingredients and Nutritional Information Carbonated Water, Sugar, Colour ... more

Back from my holiday in Dorset, I am ready to review again! Today I will tell you about my beloved Dr. Pepper Zero How come I write about it? I love Dr.Pepper, I really do. I'd go as far as to say it's my favourite drink in the world. It is hard to get in Germany, and the Zero-version is nonexistent over here, so I always buy loads of bottles when I am in the UK. I am very calorie-concious, so the Zero variety had me jubilating! What is it? Dr.Pepper is a fizzy drink ("sparkling fruit flavour soft drink") made by Coca Cola. I have to admit I never recognized any fruity flavours in it ... more

This review is not just on Dr Pepper, it is on the differences between products from the UK and abroad, in this case England and Holland; because the difference is extraordinary. On first appearances you may not notice that your lovely red can of Dr Pepper is not a UK buy, especially if you like I just assume that when you buy a can of fizzy drink it will be the same as the last one you had. So what is Dr Pepper? Dr Pepper is a fruit flavoured carbonated soft drink, made with 23 flavours after its creation in 1885 in Waco, Texas. It is made by the same company (Snapple Group) who produces 7UP ... more

I first latched on to Dr Pepper around two years ago, it was a hot summers day and I needed something to quench my first, upon visiting the corner shop to get my regular coca-cola, I was surprised to see that they had sold out. It was at this time that I decided to give this a try and became quite fond of the unique taste. At first I thought that Dr Pepper had only been around for 10 years or so, however after a little search on the Internet, I found some rather interesting facts: · This soft drink goes way back in history, first being sold in 1885. · A chap by the name of Wade Morrison ... more

This is my first drinks opinion and well what really can you write about a drink but here goes… It may be the same colour as coke and made by the same maker and you may think that it looks like Coke but believe me they taste and smell nothing alike. I have never really liked coke and when I first saw the advert for Dr Pepper I immediately thought eeeew, sounds revolting. But one day I went into the shop and thought well might as well try it so I picked up the see-through bottle with dark red label with bold white letters saying Dr Pepper on it, put it in the fridge for a few hours to make it ... more

    Advantages Advantages Tastes great.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Goes flat quicker than other soft fizzy drinks.

Dr Pepper is the oldest major soft drink in the US and is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to other big selling soft drinks in the UK. According to the Doctor Pepper website at www.drpepper.com, the history of Dr Pepper goes back more than 100 yrs when it was first made and sold in the central Texas town of Waco in 1885. The story goes that there was a young english pharmacist named Charles Alderton who worked in Morrisons corner drug store in Wade. Charles Alderton also tested carbonated soft drinks for the Soda Foundation, came up with the drink and showed it to Morrison the ... more

Advantages Advantages Unique taste, frequently found on offer.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Easily loathed, addictive, diuretic.

I don't really like Doctors. They do an incredible job, but it's all a bit too intimate for me, which is why I tend to get through life aching and snapping with a misguided faith in the healing powers of simply being awake. Laughter may be the best medicine, but so is medicine, which is why the only two Doctors I can honestly say I really like are Christopher Lloyd's character in the 'Back to the Future' films and this carbonated soft drink (which tastes a bit like medicine). The usual Food & Drink review (why's it called Food & Wine on Ciao? That's crazy) will analyse the background and ... more

As you probably know, I am an avid bargain hunter and recently, Somerfield and Kwik Save Stores (as they are the same company) have been running various half-price promotions on selected two litre bottles of drinks. So after writing one about Fanta I decided I would basically do exactly the same, but write about my other favourite drink – Dr Pepper. ***Sizes and Packaging*** Dr Pepper comes in three sizes, 500ml and 2 litre bottles, and 330ml cans. All of these are dark red in colour with Dr Pepper written diagonally across the packaging in white writing. As with most products made by Coca ... more

The first time that I met Dr Pepper I had one of those hangovers that wouldn't go away. My head was thumping, I felt drained, my mouth tasted lousy, and nothing that I had in the house could slake my enormous thirst. I trundled off to the corner shop to buy something for my headache and was tempted to climb into the drinks cooler and have my wicked way with the contents. Instead I decided to behave and buy some bottles of something long and cold to take home. My normal choice would have been Coca Cola, but sometimes I like a change and Dr Pepper was sitting there wearing his dark red jacket ... more
