DragonBall Z: TV's Chance To Shine

Advantages: good tv program, its on Toonami now
Disadvantages: it can get repeditive

...This review is about the DragonBall Z TV show, that now previews on the channel called Toonami, on channel number 903 (if your using an NTL Digi Box). DragonBall Z is basically about Son-Goku (the main character in the TV show), whom when in DragonBall (the first series) is a young man, who grows up to be a protector of the planet Earth, of what he thought was the only planet, but then he ends up being the defender of the universe, and he has a lot ...
...Saiyan 4, which is in DragonBall GT (the 3rd series). Only Saiyans can go through these transformations. Piccolo has a few of his own, he has Sync with Nail, other words a fusion, what only Nameks can do, and he Fuses with Kami, which makes his much more powerful. Kami is the Guardian of the Earth for the beginning sagas, then Den-De comes and takes over. Den-De is a Namek, which they meet when they are on Namek. OTHER If you want more info on ...

Dragonball to Dragonball Z

Advantages: CN version censored for kids, kids love it
Disadvantages: Not for everyone, I hate censorship, pointless censoring, violence?, adult-ish themes, kids love it, too commercialised

...in 1984 known as Dragonball. Dragonball now consists of three series, a bunch of movies, manga, and a heck of a lot of merchandise. The first series is known as Dragonball, and begins the tale. The second series, Dragonball Z, continues the tale, and the third, Dragonball GT, continues the tale even further. The story of Dragonball revolves around a child named Son Goku. Although the origin of Dragonball is Japanese, the character is based on a ...

What next Dragon Ball GT

Advantages: Great variety in plot and story line, characters are al unique and progress in there own way, and all serve their own purpose. Takes place on a variety of scenes, and is just great all round fun to watch. The fight scenes are also incredible to watch.
Disadvantages: Some scenes go on for a tad too long, there are many shots of the characters just breathing which gets kind of annoying.

...3 style series i nthe DragonBall series. Dragonball, DragonBall Z a,d DragonBall GT. But right now i am going to tal to you about DragonBallZ. This is a great monument to the Anime and Manga style genre. It has great story, great plot, and has you on the edge of your seat each nail biting minute. The main star in DragonBallZ is a fellow called Goku. Goku is a member of the Sayjin race (pronounced Say-in) who was sent to the earth when he was just ...
...with indescribable power. In DragonBall Z, the strong martial artists are able to use special energy techniques (kinda liek the stuff you see on street fighter) although this i much more indepth with different styles and techniques that all the characters have. The DragonBallZ series starts with Goku a grown man, if you wanna see him as a kid you need to watch the original DragonBall series which are only in english subtitles as far as i know and ...

...more combat in case a Dragonball wish summons them back to Earth. This cartoon is all about super powered aliens (and the occasional human) fighting each other. It is all presented in the animation style any one who’s seen a Manga or Anime film will recognise. Facial expressions are exaggerated, inspiring monologues are required before anyone can do anything, taunting your enemy is an art form and each and every attack is announced by shouting its ...

Great, except for the cuts...

Advantages: Unlike any other cartoon, and in a good way.
Disadvantages: Totally butchered when compared to the original Japanese version.

If you've never seen the original Japanese version of Dragon Ball Z, then you probably think it's one of the best cartoons ever made. And not without good reason either. Kung-fu cartoons aren't exactly all that big anywhere outside of Japan, and when you see Dragon Ball Z for the first time, it's just like nothing else you've ever seen. People fly, shoot lasers out of their eyes, turn into giant monkeys, blast fireballs out of their hands... it's ...
...Street Fighter and then made a cartoon about it, and it's the perfect thing for when you just want to relax, switch your brain off and watch something on the TV. But there are people out there who've seen the original Japanese version. They know all about just how weak the version we get to see is. They know all about how criminally bad some of the dubbed voices are compared to the original ones. They know about how the beautiful Japanese music ...

Rock the Dragonball Z

Advantages: It has a really good story, some intense battles and amazing music.
Disadvantages: There aren't any!

Dragonball Z is a Japanese cartoon about some fighters who try to guard Earth from evil Forces. It is a sequel to Dragonball and prequel to Dragonball GT, AF and TS. The main character is Goku; he is a Sayan from the planet Vegetta. This means he is more powerful than all the other guardians. He (like all the other fighters) has the ability to use KI attacks. This is when they shoot a ball of energy from their hands. This can damage opponents quite ...
...I have watched Dragonball Z since it started on Cartoon Network to the present day. I will still keep watching every episode until it ends. There was also some games made for Gameboy and SNES, I have played all of them and recommend them all to you. The Meaning Behind DRAGONBALLZ.

Advantages: Excellent Teachings
Disadvantages: Too Addictive

...Akira Toriyama, creator of the dragonball series was amazing, nearly 75% of the episodes had some kind of theory or meaning implemented in them very cleverly. I am writing my ‘ciao’ essay, here today to get a bold point across to all you non DragonballZ fans. DragonballZ isn’t some ordinary childish fantastic cartoon you watch for fun and enjoyment. It has much more to it, that’s why I am here writing out what fascinates me and may fascinate others ...
...I would like to express my self and want you to learn about the truth of DragonballZ. I want to and will share my knowledge to all you people about the power and motivation of DragonballZ. Not many people notice this but DragonballZ isn’t some supernatural based, extraordinary martial arts cartoon. It has much more to it. This ‘so call’ cartoon has many philosophy meanings behind it, it has a very adventurous story line behind it and it’s also used ...

Awesome Anime on Cartoon Network

Advantages: Great drawings, fun, good storylines
Disadvantages: Bad Voice actors, Complex stories

Dragon Ball Z is a brilliant new cartoon on Cartoon Network, originally 'invented' by Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Z is a well known and popular Japanese Anime (cartoon)and has been brought to our TV screens by Toonami, a company intent on filling our TV screens with Japanese anime. Personally, I think Dragon Ball Z is the ONLY good cartoon on Cartoon Network, even the other Japanese cartoons introduced by Toonami pale in comparison to the marvellous ...
...Japanese anime, I have seen the original Japanese version and I prefer the English version, the Japanese people are very different from us (no offense) and their cartoons seem very weird. The only big problem with the English version of Dragon Ball Z is the voice actors, they are pretty poor at grunts, groans and screams. Making the cartoon sound like a over exaggerated pornography cartoon (Japanese have cartoons like that, they are called Hentai). ...

DBZ: Kids Cartoon...or a cult?

Advantages: Good plots and storylines. Exciting action scenes. Good animation.
Disadvantages: Slow progression through stories.

...on watching an episode of Dragonball Z were: "Oh no, not another young childs fighting cartoon." But then that is exactly the false impression that most immediate viewers would probably get. Of course Dragonball Z is aimed at kids and it is about fighting. But DBZ has its very own unique and exciting charm. Maybe it's the long-running and involved plots and story-lines. Or maybe it's just the unique concepts and exciting action scenes, but whatever ...
...sagas and episodes. Dragonball Z is broken down into different sagas, each one usually featuring a different enemy or set of enemies that the main characters must defend the earth against. The animation is superb and despite a slight but nagging lack of movement from the characters, the drawings are a real credit to the animators. One aspect of DBZ, which I'm sure appeals to a lot of people but has never really won me over is the humour. Why characters ...

The Dragon balls are powering up.

Advantages: You get addicted
Disadvantages: none

I bet your thinking why do most people think Dragon ball Z is good....well because they have been watching it from they day it started so they get most of the storylines and the plot but thats no accuse to say it's crap.........the show repeats itself enough times so people can catch up with it. DBZ the best anime ever made

Advantages: Fans of fiction, animation and laughter get ready for total entertainment
Disadvantages: The guy at the end telling you what will happen next

Fans of fiction, animation and laughter get ready for total entertainment. Too many characters for you to remember, this anime is guaranteed to bring action and suspense to all whatever the age group. Taken out the 42 comics created in 1984 on the popular Japanese myth made by the Japanese manga artist Akira Toriyama, in 1989 they have now made over 250 episodes. And now in 2002 you can still watch this anime classic on Cartoon Network. The story ...

Dragonball Z is the best

Advantages: N/A

Dragonball Z is the best program ever made. It shows on week days on Cartoon Network at 5pm which is great just before dinner. Dragonball Z is an action packed filled cartoon about some friends who are really strong and save the earth and stuff. There is around 12 people in all in fact and now the action is getting really good because Gohan's father has just died after saving the earth and suddenly just as magic Gohan is now a tennager which is ...
...I don't know how they fit so much action into a half a hour slot. If you haven't already watched it you really should give it a go. But watch it more than once beacuse you might be a little bit unlucky and hit a little boring bit but even if you do it's still really good. Obvisly I can't talk about the whole show beacuse it could be up to 10 pages long but the best way to find out how good it is, is just watch it for your self. This cartoon can ...
