...a go as well.
Drapolene comes in 200gram tubs and isn't terribly expensive - prices will of course vary depending on where you shop, but it seems to be priced about the same as any other skin creams. The cream is a pink colour and has a 'medical' sort of smell - probably because the cream has antiseptic qualities. Apply to the bottom and genitalia of your baby - especially if you have noticed any signs of redness. It won't all soak in - leave a ... ...is easier to apply because Drapolene is a touch too thin I think - harder to make a good layer of it. My conclusion is if you are just starting out and want to avoid your child getting nappy rash, use Sudo cream. If that doesn't work, or nappy rash has already developped, get in some Drapolene. Drapolene can, according to the pot, be used for urinary dermititus in adults, and is actually very good for minor burns - which are much the same as nappy ...

...what is drapolene? ******
Drapolene is a soothing effective relief from nappy rash. It supposedly helps to treat and prevent nappy rash while still allowing a nappy to do it`s job.
But not only that it is also effective for urinary dermatitis in adults and for minor burns.

...is a pink cream. Drapolene is fairly thick, and is less sticky and greasy than other nappy creams like sudocrem. It has a fairly medical smell - not unpleasant though... The smell normally gives me more confidence in its healing ability.
After cleaning your little one, and making sure they are completely dry (preferably by letting them run round and getting the air at their bum), you rub the cream into the affected areas - I make sure there is a ... ...It contains: Benzalkonium chloride 0.01% w/w, Cetrimide 0.2% w/w
Drapolene can also be used for adult urinary ammonia dermatitis, minor burns, limited sunburn, and cold weather/wind skin damage, although I haven't tried it for any of these things so cannot comment on how good it is for them. ...

...lasts ages). Drapolene has two antiseptic ingredients (I think most remedies only have 1) so double the power and the lovely pink colour and Germolene smell take me back to my own childhood!
We now use it for many skin problems - it is brilliant for minor burns (keep a tub handy in the kitchen) and chafes. BUY IT! ...

Quick review of Drapolene Cream
I have to say, as well as nappy rash, Drapolene is marvellous on sunburnt skin! Rub some in a couple of hours before you go to bed, and hey presto, beautiful soft, sore free skin in the morning! But thats not its only use! I used to suffer bad exzema and dermatitis and you know something? I've been clear of both those conditions for ages; after using drapolene for a couple of weeks it never came back! So thanks to the people who make it, i'm never without a tub! ...

...who told me to use Drapolene (which is also good for minor burns). SI went to our local chemist and started using Drapolene- a pleasant, not greasy, but light, pink cream, in a simple white pot (with navy blue logo lettering and pink background). Applying the cream did not seem to sting- there was no crying or sobbing but there was the reaction as if to say the cream is cold. Within 2 days I noticed an improvement. The redness vanished. And she has ... ...As far as I know, Drapolene comes in 2 sizes: a small 200g pot (which is a bad design because it is impossible to get your fingers down to the bottom of the pot), and a larger pot which is great for use at home, but not for carrying around if you are out and about. The pots are white plastic with a simple snap on/off lid. Drapolene is a product few Mums get to hear about- other creams always seem to be recommended and advertised in magazines etc., ...

Advantages: It Works, great price, easy to apply Disadvantages: A bit on the smelly side
Well having tried just about every nappy rash cream on the market I gave this a go on the recommendation of my mum. It has the smell, colour and consistency of Germolene and you know I finally found a nappy rash cream that actually works.
I applied it at every change, with a more liberal application after the bath, in anticipation for bedtime. Only two days and hey presto no nappy rash.
I prefer this to others on the market such as sudocrem, which ...
