What is Driclor -?
Driclor is an anti-perspirant designed to help excessive perspiration; it is a clear liquid roll- on. It contains Aluminium Chloride which is (for all those that don't know) an anti-perspirant that helps control sweating. It does this by blocking your sweat glands and then releases the sweat naturally through other areas of your body. Quite ingenious really.
How to apply Driclor - It comes in a small 20ml bottle ... ...might add now you have to put together yourself. ??? Why I have no idea but your have to put the roller ball on which is a bit fiddly but once done it's done.
Make sure your arm pits are dry before applying as this may cause some skin irritation.
Roll on lightly to the area once a day at night time and then wash off in the morning, and then use your normal deodorant during the day.
Claims - It says after 1 or 2 weeks you are supposed to see a ...

...recommended a product called Driclor. Driclor is a roll on product made up of aluminium chloride available from the chemists and can be bought off the shelf without prescription or online if you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed buying it (quick and easy) and it costs between £3.99 and £5.99 for a 20ml bottle (cheap) That's all but one box ticked…unfortunately the painless box gets a resounding cross! (Sorry if I've spoiled the ending for you now!)
... ...for days not hours. Driclor Solution has been specifically formulated to treat excessive perspiration. It works by forming a gel matrix in the effected sweat glands, which reduces and eventually stops the flow of sweat. Excess sweat is reabsorbed into the body and disposed of in the normal way. Within just a few weeks of use, excessive perspiration should disappear and sufferers should feel cool and dry. Driclor is suitable for use on all skin types ...

Advantages: Stops sweating for some people Disadvantages: Everything you will read below
...I brought my bottle of Driclor in Boots and it cost me £5.99 for a 20ml bottle. This might sound expensive but as it is in effect a roll on deodorant of sorts, this bottle should last quite a long time. This leads me to the first gripe I have though. When you open the box it comes in, you will find that you have to actually put the bottle together. They supply you with the bottle of deodorant with a lid on it and then the roller ball separately. ... ...it down any further.
Driclor is a clinically proven anti-perspirant for the treatment of excessive perspiration and is especially suitable for people who perspire under normal conditions. Well, this is what the box says anyway. I agree it does resemble a normal roll on anti-perspirant although the smell is more like veruca gel! Not very pleasant but this is not really apparent after application though thank goodness. Following the instructions in ...

Advantages: Does decrease sweating Disadvantages: Itching, burning sensation
...I settled on Driclor after reading the reviews on here, and I bought mine with minimal embarassment from the chemist for £4.49 on special offer. I'd seen the cautions about not using too much and also read about the potential side effects (itching, burning sensations) so it was with a little trepidation that I opened the box ready to use. There was a bit of itching initially which did quickly give way to a tingling sensation but that didn't last all that long and I went to sleep as normal. The next morning I washed as normal and put on deodorant. During the day I did feel like I was sweating but my underarms seemed to be drier and I was more comfortable. The next application however was a different story. I followed the ...

Advantages: Stops sweat Disadvantages: Stings if not careful with.
...Anyway. I tried Driclor this Monday; I bought it from a local chemist. All I can say is, amazing!!!
Like most people have said, it stings. But I think I was like the rest of us idiots, I tried shaving my pits in hope that less hair would help, then read about Driclor online that night, so bought straight away, and the following night put it on. Now I had never shaved my pits before, so of course it was tingly just from trying that out of desperation, ... ...OOOOUUCCH!. I was on fire all night. I also applied it crazy, like I did a normal roll on, not a wise move. I just grit and took the pain from it all night, although I did fall asleep eventually. Then the wonder happened.
I had a shower Tuesday morning, put on my suit. Left my apartment and proceeded to walk down town, in a the warm humid weather, to get to the office. Now like always, I was feeling quite warm by time I did a quick 25min stroll ...

...get to the interesting parts.
Driclor is used in a very different way from the normal run of the mill stuff, and it is imperative that you read, and then follow the instruction leaflet ,very carefully.
The antiperspirant is applied before going to bed at night and should be washed off in the morning. It should NOT be reapplied during the day.
At first, you should use Driclor at night, until sweating stops during the day. You may then find you ... ...once weekly, and very possibly less often.
I am now at a point where I only need to apply it once every 4 weeks, so apart from working like a dream, it is also very economical.
Perhaps you are now thinking this sounds too good to be true?
All I can say is it has freed me from embarrassingly wet underarms, and allowed me to wear any type of clothing, without fear of wet patches or stains.
BUT
If you do not apply exactly as directed on the leaflet, ...

My experience:
Putting Driclor on the first night, everything seemed fine, until about half an hour later when my skin was itching and burning quite painfully. In the end i couldnt help but scratch it a little and the itching kept me awake for most of the night. Now here is the important bit, where i beleive i went wrong - DO NOT use too much of this product. Apply very sparingly to the centre of the underarm. One or two rolls, up then ... ...after my first use, i still had red underarms and every subsequent use made me itch. However, after leaving it for a week or so for my skin to heal, applying just the right amount caused no itching or burning whatsoever. Results:

...to screw on yourself.
Driclor boasts that over a few weeks it will decrease your sweating a considerable amount. To use driclor it says to wash under your arms before going to bed, this is because you supposedly dont sweat as much during the night while you are asleep. Once you wash under your arms it instructs you to dry yourself thoroughly. Then apply the driclor to your underarms. Go to bed and have a shower in the morning to wash it off.
Unfortunately ... ...A day after applying the driclor i went out for a drink with some mates, i had a shower, got dressed and tryed to put on some deoderant. If you think it is painful applying after shave, straight away after shaving, then try doing this. It hurt like hell and did so for the next couple of days.
On the plus side, when i went out for the night it did stop me sweating, and i definetely didn't feel as self-conscious, so it does work. I would recommend ...

...google search I came across Driclor and saw that it had rave reviews. As it was relatively cheap and I'd tried everything else, I thought why not?

...have been an user of Driclor for some months, and I find it a life-changer! A bold claim for a small roll-on? But it is true. This little bottle (roughly £12 for a triple pack) has changed my life. I have tried every deodorant and antiperspirant on the market but to no avail. So went to Boots and got some. Wanted to try it straight away but waited, just read and re-read the leaflet. Advantages: It actually works!! Disadvantages: Burning pits of fire
I've been using Driclor for about a month now and it has pretty much cured me from a condition that was nothing short of debilitating!
I'll admit I was sceptical when I bought it but my condition was so bad that I was willing to try anything at the time. No matter what the weather was like - hot, cold, humit, dry - I would always find massive sweat patches under my arms within a few hours of my morning shower.

I know this sounds like an ad for the stuff, but I couldn't recommend it enough to those who haven't tried it!
Couldn't go past the fiery pains in my armpits on the first night of using it though - I had to laugh when I read a review titled 'sweaty armpits or armpits of fire, you decide'!
I probably got 3 hours sleep after I first applied it - the itching and stinging was so bad I almost wanted ...
