As I just finished playing this game a few days ago, it’s still fresh in the mind, so I thought I'd write a few words about it to share the experience. I’m going to start off with my blurb on the game, then my criticisms, praises and a brief cheerio. Where to start then? ...and what scenery! In fact you'll notice I haven't written an op. for some time. Mostly due to a complete immersion in this and another similar game (Op. to follow... Eventually.) Dungeon Siege is brought to you by Gas Powered Games, a fairly new name on the Role Playing Game (RPG) front. I had heard good reports of the game and so decided to invest £35 and have a look see. I have to say that initially I felt that the term RPG was somewhat misleading, but after several hours playing the game and coming to understand the mechanics of game play and character development better, I have to admit I was mistaken. A fantasy adventure, in which you start as a simple farmer in the kingdom of Ehb. When the evil Krug attack killing your friend, you are thrust into a quest to defeat the evil that has arisen and save the kingdom. Dungeon Siege is an enjoyable game with nice graphics, simple intuitive controls and full of combat against a variety of foes. However, after I had been playing for a while it began to seem rather repetitive. The game follows a very linear path, without many options for sub-quests. The storyline is also very basic. dungeon siege is essentially a hybrid of role-playing and action games composed of a continual stream of swiftly resolved battles and a basic skill based character development system. how do I look… very good: it might only feature a very linear and forgettable story line but said story plays out in beautifully detailed and varied three-dimensional environments. the topography illusions depicted are outstanding and vary from bottomless pits to intimidating cliffs. these awe inspiring scenery might not be used to it’s full potential as your characters cannot fall of bridges or cliffs but it is ... more

Advantages Easy to play ... Incredible graphics
Disadvantages Very poor AI ... too easy

Continuing on with my hack-n-slash-dungeon-bash ops, I felt that Dungeon Siege was worthy of note and therefore worthy of an op. Dungeon Siege is a fully 3D game by Gas Powered Games and Microsoft which boasts some pretty amazing scenery and graphics. Then again with these two large companies behind it who could have expected anything less. Unlike most hack-n-slash-dungeon-bash games however you are not given any option in the character you play as you are forced to play the part of a farmer who’s farm is under attack from a race of evil gribblies ( generic term for monsters of any kind ) ... more

Amazing, Action Packed and Addictive

Advantages Action Packed, Great Graphics and a whole lot of fun!
Disadvantages Lan play - a bit jerky

Imagine waking up to find monsters surrounding the forests, wolves eating the last of your food supply, your friends killed and kidnapped by unknown beasts. Not only that but spiders, crypts, tombs, giant flying insects, swamps infested with dangerous creatures and much much more. Being a hero in Dungeon Siege certainly isn't easy, it has its good points and bad points. The amazing strength, spells and potions are a bonus but the battling goblins does become rather tiresome. This new plays of role is super, it combines the management of the weapons with the various characters but also, more amusing of all Ca they is the engagements with different the creature which composes the world graphics are surprising and the jouability is well but it is necessary a large configuration so that the plays reveals all its splandor. This game is a legend among gamers it is one of the best games and original games to come out a few years ago. Dungeon siege is a fantasy RPG game brought to you by Microsoft. It was released in 2002 and went down a storm when I was released. Your character has toiled in the fields for years but the vile krug destroyed it as well as your family and friends.
