Duracell batteries do last a very, very long time. This is probably a somewhat rare example of a product doing what the advert says it does! Last for ages longer than any normal battery! But that is, of course, a point to consider. Duracell lasts much longer than an ordinary battery, but does it last much longer than other Alkaline batteries made by other equally reputable firms for a little less money? Perhaps not.
