The humble 9 Volt rectangular battery is a battery pack that just seems to go on and on without ever being replaced by something with a bit more modernity. Duracell are a name are synonmous with batteries and generally when I'm buying batteries I tend to go with one of two brands, this being one of them. I guess I'm a creature of habit and I grew up loving the Duracell Bunny. Buying the Batteries The Duracell Plus MN1604 Alkaline were batteries I bought to go in the smoke detectors throughout my house. I have a total of eight smoke detectors throughout my house and so needed a total of eight of these batteries. We get through a lot of batteries in this house, as do most households these days. We buy rechargeable batteries for most items but when I opened Hollie's remote control car a couple of months ago I realised it needed a square battery, I honestly haven't seen one of these for years (I actually assumed all batteries were round now) so wrote them on my list for next time I went shopping. Having used battery operated toys and tools with various brands for a long time, I am glad to say Duracell delivers on its promise of longevity. I am an avid Remote Control Car fanatic and batteries are always an issue on two levels. How long they last and also how well they perform over a long period of idleness. Duracell batteries have been tops for me when it comes to how long the last. I have had satisfaction from each pack I bought to date.
