When I moved house last year I left behind my little Panasonic vacuum cleaner which I had bought purely for cleaning the stairs. As I was downsizing considerably I couldn't really justify keeping it and I felt the new buyer of my old home would appreciate something which had been bought purely...

Introduction = My VAX hoover decided to blow up on me but luckily my partner had moved in with me and bought along his Dyson DC24. I hadn't ever had much experience with a Dyson before and heard mixed reviews from them. My grandparents have one which they had to have replaced as their first one...

ConsMy hair still beats it on occasion

Getting my house ready to rent out for a year while I'm away had me doing all sorts of things I wouldn't normally bother with. Like cleaning, for one. You might think it strange that someone who cares so little for housework would bother investing in a £200 vacuum, but that's precisely why I did:...

A couple of months ago came the momentous occasion where I had to buy my first ever hoover/vacuum cleaner. Having moved into my flat and been convinced that I had brought all of the necessary furniture etc I quickly realised that I was lacking the ability to clean! I have used various vacuum...

My mother lives on a farm, and she has a stinking black labrador and two cats in and out of the house all day. So it follows that she needs a very good hoover, in order for the house to not need a visit from Kim and Aggie! I don't mean to be mean about the dog, but she does reek quite badly...

“Dyson wins me over!”

published 19/06/2010

ProEasy to use, works well, ball's great

Consdo i want to see all the dust inside?

The Dyson I remember when Dyson's first came out I complained of them being too heavy and that they would never catch on. The idea of a bagless vaccum cleaner just seemed really silly in my eyes but now here we are with the Dyson taking over and with there being a wide variety of them to choose...

Price: I bought this for £181 from Kitchen Science (sister company of LASKYS) last month after a price challenge because Tesco was selling it at £179 but with £5 delivery charge if not collect from local store. The original price was £189 inclusive of delivery (quite competitive already). Today...

ProLightweight, great suction

ConsBin capacity too small

Having put up with a very old Electrolux vacuum for about 5 years, which had been given to us by a kind family member, and the poor thing eventually blowing up just before Christmas, I was getting a lot of grief from my wife about buying a new vacuum cleaner, one which would be able pick up all...

It took a marriage proposal for the gifts given to me by friends and family to instantly change over night from items that were purely for my enjoyment to those that were practical gifts for our new home. This vacuum cleaner is a good example of the latter; however it has been a very practical...

“Dyson Darling”

ProPowerful and light

ConsNeeds frequent emptying

This is my second Dyson vacuum cleaner and I doubt I will ever buy another brand, I am that pleased with the products. My original one is still going strong, I gave it away when I moved overseas not expecting to come back to the UK. The Dyson ball vacuum is a curious looking object, all in yellow...

Consfalls over!

I am forever having to get the vacuum out and hoover up all the bits of ground up rusks and bits of dirt the babies manage to accumulate and I was fed up of dragging around a heavy cumbersome hoover around the house and so I treated myself to this dyson... what a treat! Long gone are the days...

Conssuction not up to par

I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one. Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but...

When I moved into my new house that has cream carpets all up stairs I decided that my old hoover was not up to the job, It was recommended to me that I should get a dyson, so after some research on the internet I did indeed by a Dyson. The Dyson DC24 over all is a good hoover, its light weight...

This is my first Dyson and I have only had it a few weeks and I have to say I will never ever buy another brand - it is absolutely fantastic. At the moment, Argos are doing a deal where you can take any old vacumm (and my was very old!) in to the store and 'part exchange' it for a dyson. The %...

After my childhood memories, I got laminate floorings and resorted to brushing. I loved the sliding, the gliding of the brush. It was nothing like our Safeway hoover we had!! I swore I would never touch one the bulky beasts again. Until my Aunt Carol fell down the stairs, became bed bound, and...
